What was your first solo stand-up gig?
Uptown Comedy Club on Apollo Night. I got booed severely and fell in love.

What is your worst nightmare as a comic while performing on stage? Has it happened?
I got booed on stage and someone told me to kill myself while I was performing. As I was walking to the car after the show, somebody told me I was never going to be funny. I defended myself by saying f*** you and the guy told me that he'd kill me. He also had like five guys with him so I just walk to the car before it escalated. Also, I did a show where they gave the crowd Nerf balls. If the comic wasn't funny they would throw Nerf balls at us. I made it through but I was really scared.

At what age did you realize you were funny? Why? Tell us the story.
In elementary school I used to act out Redd Foxx from Sanford and Son to make a girl laugh. When I was in middle school I used to pick at folks and make jokes to get out of fights.

Who are your comic influences? What are your comedic influences?
Jamie Foxx and my dad. Jamie Foxx because of his personality and because he can take a joke and milk it long after the joke is over. My dad because he is the funniest guy I know and he has a great writing partner: Budweiser. He taught me to be myself at all times.

What is the worst job you have ever had?
After I got fired for a second time, I really needed money. I did some roofing work for one day. I am scared of heights. It was a two-story condo and it was drizzling. It was the worst day of my life; I thought I was going to die. Basically I held onto the chimney for eight hours and quit the same day. I also worked at Target as a cart attendant and used to retrieve carts from the snow.

What are some of your favorite television shows? Movies?
Anything by Will Smith and Will Farrell. My favorite show are "Entourage," "Fresh Prince of Bel Air," and "Martin." My favorite movies of all time are "Life," "Anchorman," and "300."

What do you hope to gain by becoming the Last Comic Standing?
The opportunity to travel the world doing standup, to springboard my acting career, and to use my winnings for gas money.

Most embarrassing moment? Have you recovered?
I asked a woman if she was pregnant on stage. She wasn't. I learned never to assume.

Give us your best "knock knock" joke.
Uh?

What is the worst question you have ever been asked in an interview?
Tell me a joke. I hate that question.
