Ten Lakes - Yosemite National Park
Ten Lakes is located 6.5 miles one way from Tioga Road where the Ten Lakes trailhead begins. Ten Lakes, actually, there are only seven lakes there, is a long and tough hike to get to. You climb UP to an elevation of approximately 10,000 ft., then DOWN to the main lake on swithbacks. It's just beautiful out there in the backcountry.

For general information visit Yosemite National Park.

Fishing Report
September 2, 2001:
Did a day hike there with my group and my fishing rod. We saw trout in the water and then found this area with many trout. As with the Grant Lake report, I did not have the right lures, so fishing was tough for me. I only landed one Brook trout that was seven inches in length. There are other larger size rainbows in that water, but I couldn't hook any. Got bites though.
Fishing Notes
Dark colored lures is the key to this lake.
