Our goal is to provide education of suicide in our community, through awareness activities, fund-raisers and presentations. Our hope is to be successful in developing the Ontario Chapter of the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program, which is specifically aimed at the prevention of teen suicide. Suicide is the third leading cause of death between 13-25 year old Canadians, and our goal within this program is to lower these statistics. We need to begin by saving one life at a time.

Many non profit organizations, including the Light for Life Foundation International (Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program) charges per diem fees for presentations. Our chapter has decided to not follow the same guidelines, and we would like to state that any presentations or activities provided by the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program (Ontario Chapter) will be free of any charges. The presentations and activities will only be made in the vicinity of the Greater Toronto Area, as of this time. All of the money from donations and our sponsors, will go towards community based education, special presenters and materials. The Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program (Ontario Chapter) mainly consists of teens who devote their time without sacrificing their responsibilities, thus eliminating the need to compensate money lost from absences from jobs and family.
