Site updates
What's new around here? The Updates page is where major events or changes are recorded for the convenience of visitors, and for my own personal record-keeping. Events are listed by date, with the more recent in front.

5/21/04 Wow, it's been a while. A whole lot of links went bad, so I cleaned up and updated the Links page. Would you know it, I am now a web developer. Thanks to a bunch of people who have given me constructive critique and suggestions to improve this five-year old site. In time I hope to bring it up to full working order. See more at About this site.
4/04/00 An email from a visitor prompted me to update my "About this site" page. It was looking dated and I had more thoughts to add to it.
2/12/00 My guestbook inexplicably just died on me and I had to scramble to put up a script running off of my own space. I'm glad I did, since now I have full control over every aspect of it. It looks better than ever and I've put to use my PERL programming experience for my own pages at last.
1/18/00 I've noticed that my form cgi going through Geocities is not reaching me, so I've set it up on my own server space and it works beautifully now. Geo is in shambles still.
8/13/99 Finally changed Guestbook graphics and rearranged a few things. It loads faster now that I've cut down on the graphics size.
8/12/99 Completed updates to all 14 Xenobiology files up to the end of Deep Space Nine. Boy, this was the most draining experience I've had in recent memory. So here they are: Bajoran, Betazoid, Breen, Borg, Cardassian, Changeling, Ferengi, Jem'Hadar, Klingon, Q, Romulan, Trill, Vorta, Vulcan
I've added many more pictures, finished telling the story arcs of each race, and playing "Who is that?" with the nationals of each race has become a favorite pasttime. See how many people you recognize.
7/31/99 Expansion and updates to Starfleet Medicine section. Now six pages instead of just one, it has been updated to the end of the series, and has the following pages Introduction to Starfleet Medicine, Diseases, Medical Procedures, Medical Equipment, Medicine, Starfleet Medical Journal.
7/31/99 Expansion and updates to Senior Officer Profiles section. Now updated to the end of the series, it includes Ezri as well as the regulars: Sisko, Kira, Odo, O'Brien, Worf, and the late Jadzia.
7/30/99 Expansion and updates to Quotes and Alexander Siddig section. Now the quotes come with synopses and wav clip links to help recreate the poignant moments. There's also a submission form for those who have favorite quotes I may have missed.
7/27/99 Expansion and updates to Media section. The pictures are now divided into six sections, promotional pictures, cast pictures, screen captures, Sid in person, wallpapers, and artwork. Of the six, three are complete, those being the Sid, cast, and promo pictures.
7/26/99 Updates to Biography, taking out frames and adapting it to the new design. Finished updating Julian's story to the end of the series.
7/25/99 Updates Profile, Infirmary, DS9, Personal Log, and most of the major sections to fit into new blue color theme. Changed the Station Logs format to include an episode-by-episode synopsis (written by moi), and a picture. So far, season one synopses are complete.
7/23/99 Expanded Sitemap has been updated, and short descriptions now follow the links.
7/22/99 The sixth version of Medical Log: Supplemental is on-line. The new color that is used for the entrance page and main page will soon be implemented throughout the site is a deep blue, similar to the color Julian Bashir wears as a CMO.
6/4/99 Presenting Legate Damar: Cardassian Legend. A page that wouldn't stop growing until it took up an entire site. Watching the Final Chapter, the one person who held my interest the most was none other than Damar, a character I thought would be of the least consequence in the closing scenes. Dukat had so much charisma, so much magnetism about him, it was hard to look at Damar and see anything. But in the time of crisis, Damar made the difference. Read who Damar is, the story of his life, hear him, and see him.
5/20/99 I designed a few webring graphics for meaningful sites: the Black Hole Ring on the entrance page, the Men of Trek webring, and the Elim Garak webring in the webrings page.
5/19/99 Summer has officially begun. Let the partying begin! I will be adding all the pages that I've been needing to in short order. The first two of the offerings are the beefed up about this site page and the commentary about Jadzia's Death.
5/10/99 The Dominion War Report has been updated to reflect the events up to "When It Rains..." Major developments have come in rapid succession in the last few episodes. Read the recap of recent events.
4/2/99 I haven't been making any significant changes for a while, but I will soon be putting up a large section on "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges", a great Bashir episode featuring the return of Senator Cretak and Romulan intrigue.

3/25/99 The 10,000th visitor (count 'em, ten thousand) came through to this site today. I'd say that calls for a thank-you speech. So -- Thank you for coming!
3/7/99 Revision and addition to the Senior Officers section as well as the Xenobiology section.
3/6/99 Revision to the Astrometrics section and Station Logs section. Added a new page, Odo's Office to the Promenade section, which itself has been revised to reflect the overall change. Revision and addition to the Ops section.
3/5/99 Revision to the Profile section, Deep Space Nine section, and Personal Log section. Right now I'm trying to raise the level of presentation in the internal pages so as to make them match the main page.
3/4/99 In keeping with the new look, I've redone the Infirmary and put into place the first piece of the new internal pages. I've always disliked my original pictures for that section so I tackled it first.
3/3/99 Version 5.0 of Medical Log: Supplemental is on-line! Version 4.0 (which I kept in a mirror site for those who want to take another look at it again) worked well and won many awards, but I just wasn't satisfied with some inherent design flaws. After two days of furious work, I came up with the new look. Do you like it? Tell me by email or leave a message in the guestbook.
