Lakshmee; Lakshmi (F)
One of the many important godesses of hindu pantheon. She symbolises material
wealth. And the ephemeral nature of material acquisition stands out in her
attire and other accompaniment.
She sits on a swan. Wears Gold, jewellery and precious stones. The comparison with Saraswati, the goddess of learning, is very stark as regards the accompaniments.
Laxman
Step brother of Ram, also called Soumitri - son of Sumitra, the third
wife of King Dasarath of Ayodhya. Also known as incarnation of Sesha Snake,
whose coil was the bed of Vishnu. Accompanied Ram, during his banishment to
the forest, for 14 years.
Lilith (F)
She started out from lowliest origins, was a failure as Adam's intended
wife, became the paramour of lascivious spirits, rose to be the bride of
Samael the demon King, ruled as the Queen of Zemargad and Sheba, and finally
endned up as the consort of God himself.
LokiNorse
The god of strife and evil. Son of the giant Farbauti and Laufey. According to
one legend; for his evilness he was chained to a rock and will remain thus
till the Twilight of the Gods, when he will break his bonds and the whole
creation will perish. A norse version of Apocalypse.
Lucifer
Meaning "Light Bearer." Same as Beelzebub
