HISTORIC POLITICAL PARTIES
.

.Below is a (non-exhaustive) list of defunct political parties.

Advancement Party
The Advancement Party promoted a mild form of communism, and was established primarily for the purpose of promoting communist policies while the more extreme Communist Party was banned. When the Communist Party was legalised, the Advancement Party merged into the Communist Party. (more)
Agrarian Party
The Agrarian Party was founded to protect the interests of farmers. The party's policy platform changed considerably over the years, but tended to focus on economic protectionism, promotion of agricultural subsidies, and traditional social values. Although the party survived for a considerable time, it never won any seats. (more)
Conservative Party
The Conservative Party was dedicated to slowing the speed of political change and to preserving traditional Lendosan values. It should be noted that "traditional Lendosan values" are not necessarily the same as traditional values elsewhere, and so the Conservative Party should not necessarily be compared to parties of the same name in other countries. (more)
Cruisian Party
The Cruisian Party was founded by a Cruisian priest in order to advance religious values in government. It claimed that without religious guidance, the state was "morally bankrupt". Shortly after its establishment, a new law banned any religiously-based parties from contesting elections - when this law was not revoked, the Cruisian Party reluctantly dissolved. (more)
Democracy Party
The Democracy Party was a breakaway faction of the Imperial Party which opposed their party's decision to reform (rather than abolish) the old Empire. The Democracy Party narrowly defeated the Imperial Party, and dissolved the Empire, but collapsed soon afterwards when its charismatic leader was assassinated. The modern Balance Party is a remnant of this group. (more)
Ecological Party
Initially established as the political wing of the Sepuro Movement, the Ecological Party was dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural environment. It also opposed free trade and industrial development. The Ecological Party later merged with the pacifist Utopian Party to form the modern Ecotopian Party. (more)
Equality Party
The Equality Party was one of the parties formed out of the once-great Liberal Party, which had collapsed due to disputes between "left liberals" and "right liberals". The Equality Party was centred around the "left liberals", but incorporated a number of more centrist voters as well. The party was later absorbed by the Democracy Party. (more)
Eugenics Party
The Eugenics Party was dedicated to the principles of eugenics, a theory which promotes "racial improvement" by controlling bloodlines and lineage. The Eugenics Party promoted compulsory sterilization to eliminate "undesirable" hereditary traits, which it claimed included disability, mental illness, stupidity, laziness, and criminal tendencies. (more)
Federalist Party
The Federalist Party's primary goal was to oppose the dissolution of the Free Confederacy of Lendian Republics, the state out of which the Lendosan Confederation was formed. After the FCLR's collapse, the Federalists promoted its re-establishment for some time, but eventually merged into the Imperial Party. (more)
Feminist Party
The Feminist Party was dedicated to "fighting for the rights of liberties of women". The party also had strong policies regarding homosexual and transgender rights, but this was not part of the party's official mission. The party was regarded as being on the extreme edge of feminism, and was criticised by more mainstream feminists. It did not meet with any real success. (more)
Isolationist Party
One of the earliest parties to be established, the Isolationist Party was dedicated to "strengthening and shielding the nation by minimising its links to foreign countries". The Isolationist Party promoted policies centred on self-reliance, neutrality, and an end to all immigration. Eventually, the Isolationists merged into the Nationalist Party. (more)
Larist Party
The Larist Party was a party based around the Larist faith, one of the three main religions of Lendosa. The party contested only one election (unsuccessfully) before the introduction of a ban on religious parties participating in politics. The Larist Party has since deregistered, currently existing as the Larist Political Association. (more)
Liberal Party
The Liberal Party was intended to be a centre-right socially liberal party, promoting both economic and personal freedom. It was once the greatest rival of the dominant Imperial Party, but eventually collapsed due to tensions between "left liberals" who wanted to move the party economically leftwards and "right liberals" who wanted a more conservative social policy. (more)
Loyalist Party
Formed by a union of the Nationalist Party, the Fascist Party, the Militarist Party, remnants of the Radical Party, and the Patriotic Association, the Loyalist Party was billed as "the patriot's party", and followed a broad mix of nationalist policies. It eventually collapsed due to internal conflicts. (more)
Militarist Party
The Militarist Party was a minor party that promoted increased military spending, the reintroduction of conscription, and active state measures to supress pacifism. The Militarists were once a part of the Fascist Party, but split away. The Militarist Party eventually dissolved into the Loyalist Party, and failed to re-emerge when the Loyalist Party broke up. (more)
Monarchist Party
The Monarchist Party was the country's second-oldest party, and was the first great opponent of the Imperial Party. It sought to strengthen the position of the Emperor and the aristocracy, attempting to halt the gradual shift in power to the merchants and lesser gentry that made up the Imperial Party. The Imperial Party was eventually victorious, and the Monarchists faded. (more)
Moralist Party
The Moralist Party was formed by former members of the Cruisian Party, which was banned from contesting elections. The Moralist Party removed all explicit mentions of religion, but kept the same basic policy platform, thereby bypassing the ban. The party almost immediately merged into the modern Values Party. (more)
Patriotic Party
The Patriotic Party was an extreme nationalist party founded during the collapse of the Loyalist Party. It strongly believed in the need to protect "the Lendian race" from outsiders, and believed in proactive measures by the state to "defend itself from foreign aggressors". The Patriotic Party eventually merged into the Nationalist Party. (more)
Radical Party
The Radical Party was an offshoot of the Fascist Party. Like the Fascists, it strongly opposed "the socialist/liberal form of government", but also rejected the proposed fascist alternative, instead following a mix of extreme individualism and survivalism which sometimes approached anarchism. It was destroyed by the state after conducting several terrorist attacks. (more)
Segregationist Party
An old, long-defunct minor party, the Segregationists promoted a "compartmental" society that prevented the mixing of different races, religions, cultures, and classes. It had a highly elitist view of society, believing strongly that the different components of society could be classified into "hierarchies of ability and worth". (more)
Utopian Party
The Utopian Party was founded to promote pacifism and non-violence. It was particularly opposed to the country's engagement in wars, but also opposed things such as the death penalty and perceived police brutality. It eventually merged with the environmentalist Ecological Party to form the modern Ecotopian Party. (more)
