We're not going to rely on Congress. We're going to find other avenues ... We have enormously important public policy goals, and if the Republicans who control Congress want to block [the Clinton-Gore agenda], we're going to find a way to do it." -- White House press secretary Joe Lockhart
"If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and too costly, you may come to the moment you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."
-- Winston Churchill

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May our chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
-- Samuel Adams at the Philidelphia State House, Aug.1,1776
Dear friend,
I am sure you you would agree with me that America may only be one massacre away from facing what Australia faced a couple of years ago. A careful study of the Australian situation that existed in 1995 provides a very scary similarity to Amercia today.
Have you ever wondered why the antis have always been so effective?
Have you ever wondered why they seem to control the agenda?
Have you ever wondered why they are continuing to win the battle with an ever increasing amount of gun law restrictions being placed on us?
Have you every wondered why the media almost seemed to be frightened by any thoughts of a pro-gun attitude?
The answer lies in organization and TACTICS. That is what this page is all about.
Please read An Army of Gun Lies - How the other side plays, by Dave Kopel, On the Right to Keep and Bear Arms by Walter Williams, What Our Founding Fathers REALLY Said About Guns, and then read our Mission Statement.
Please read the rest of this page for details of what our plans are to FIGHT BACK !!
Remember...
![]() | "More than 90 percent of all uses of guns in self-defense do not involve actually firing the weapon, despite gun control advocates' assumption that we are all such trigger-happy idiots that letting ordinary citizens have guns will lead to bullets flying hither and yon. Like virtually every other liberal crusade, gun control is based on the assumption that other people lack common sense and must be controlled by the superior wisdom and virtue of the anointed." -- Thomas Sowell |
We never used to be able to contact and stay in contact with people as easily as we can today. Phones, answering machines, and FAX machines are effective means of communication, but could become rather costly for contacting many people often. With the spread of the internet, we now have the power to compete with the mass media and the lies and half-truths they intentionally spread about firearms, our country, and our freedom. For the price of an internet connection (depending on your phone plan, this is either free or something like 10 cents), we can alert and coordinate MILLIONS of like-minded people who would like to effectively COMBAT these enemies of our freedom and our civil rights.
We propose setting up an 'e-mail pyramid' of sorts to INSTANTLY, RAPIDLY, and EFFECTIVELY disseminate alerts and suggested tactics to fight all of the anti-firearm, anti-American, anti-Freedom tactics of those who seek to modify the United States of America to suit their needs and best intersts, NOT those of this great nation. Each member of the 'pyramid' would be responsible for relaying all alerts and accompanying information to your 'list of friends', and so on.
Some simple math : If everybody had a list of 10 friends that they could count on, then here's how quickly our messages and tactics would propagate:
numbers/force 1 --> 10 --> 100 --> 1,000 --> 10,000 --> 100,000 --> 1,000,000 steps required 1 2 3 4 5 6
In other words, the number of friends alerted rises EXPONENTIALLY, and = 10step. This is an AMAZING power to contact and coordinate.
Please understand that we will do everything in our power to VERIFY the accuracy of an 'ANTI's stand before we go on the offensive. We will not act on rumor, and will check with the NRA, SAF, GOA, CCRKBA, JPFO, etc. for confirmation of all 'ANTI's that are targeted.
If you are interested in joining the fight, please e-mail the person who sent you here to get on their list. If you got here on your own and you would like to be added to my pyramid, then e-mail me,Spirit of '76 Greg, and put "ADD ME TO BATTLE" in the subject line. If you would like to be removed, put "REMOVE ME FROM BATTLE" in the subject line. In any case, please start your own pyramid to inform even MORE people, and visit regularly to keep up on the latest campaign.

Here's a good article about how we're safer than ever. Here's an exerp:
Today, roughly 80 million Americans own a total of nearly 250 million firearms. If these folks were as violent as gun-control advocates allege, we'd all be very dead. Instead, murder rates are on the decline -- and rising gun ownership may have a lot to do with the trend.
Before explaining how, let's look at the tragedies that worry the marching moms: accidental shootings and mass murders. Drawing on the most recent available statistics, Lott notes that:
1,134 Americans (of all ages) died in accidental shootings during 1996 42 of these victims were under the age of 10 That same year, 1,915 children THAT AGE died in motor-vehicle accidents 489 died after getting hit by cars or trucks 805 drowned, and 738 were killed by fire or burns.
Accidental shootings hit the lowest level ever recorded. In recent years, Lott writes, "only about 30 people are accidentally killed by private citizens who mistakenly believe the victim to be an intruder. By comparison, police accidentally kill as many as 330 individuals annually."
The same applies to mass killings. Despite the shooting spree at Columbine High, school violence has fallen precipitously since the mid-1980s, and this year could be the safest in decades.
It may surprise you to learn that this outbreak of peace has coincided with a veritable national gun-buying spree. The percentage of voters who own guns stands at nearly 40 percent, compared to 27.6 percent in 1988. Furthermore, the more you make, the more likely it is that you have purchased a firearm lately. The new guns aren't going to survivalists and drug thugs, but to law-abiding citizens with jobs and families.
Visit the opposing Million Mom March message board and tell 'em what Americans really think. Here are their "true colors":
"Clinton friend leads Million Mom March ...
... Is organization violating federal nonprofit regulations?" Fraudulent Gun Control Politics At MMM ...
BOY, THAT'S A BIG SURPRISE, HUH?? IMAGINE THAT, the KLIN-TONS and their ilk violating regulations?! This kind of reminds me of a newspaper headline I keep at my desk regarding campaign finance violations, "GORE: I Did Nothing Wrong ... And I Won't Do It Again".

Well, the "march" is over ... here's another HUGE LIE from the MMM (besides their "message") - the number of "marchers" in the Mall Area:
I kind of suspected this, but had no proof. Well, here it is ....
MMM organizers caught lying about crowd size. Reliable estimates are 100-150K for MMM, 2-3K for SAS-AIM.

Time for more BOYCOTTS -- Toys 'R' Us and LVMH (a luxury products company) have decided to take an anti-FREEDOM stance. Read about it here : http://www.nypostonline.com/business/6190.htm
Story :
Politicians are rallying around Toys "R" Us and luxury purveyor LVMH for taking a stand against the National Rifle Association in a Times Square showdown over a shooting gallery there. The two companies are refusing to sign leases in the glitzy new "Bow Tie" building if the NRA also moves in with its gun-themed showcase.
After The Post broke the story of their standoff yesterday, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and two Congress members, Rep. Nita Lowey (D-Westchester) and Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-Manhattan), hailed the firms' "principled stand."
"You are doing the right thing," the politicians said in a joint letter to the heads of the two giant retailers. "We believe there is no place in the new Times Square for the NRA."
Sources have told The Post that Toys "R" Us and LVMH are refusing to sign leases in 1530 Broadway unless they get assurances from the NRA and its president, actor Charlton Heston, that the NRA won't build a theme restaurant and shooting gallery there.
Toys "R" Us plans to take 45,000 square feet of space, and LVMH plans about half that amount for one of its Sephora cosmetics supermarkets. The NRA has been considering 70,000 square feet for an NRA Sports Blast eatery-entertainment center.
The politicians' letter added: "If the NRA opens in Times Square, they will be sending an unmistakably dangerous message to visitors that guns are a cause for celebration."
Let the boycott of "Toys 'R' Us" and "LVMH" begin! No more Birthday or Christmas shopping at Toys 'R' Us for me. Time to e-mail and contact Toys 'R' Us and let them know they have made a very poor decision. Remember what happened to K-Mart and Citicorp?!

Also, go to their website and e-mail them regarding this situation. Tell them that you will boycott their businesses. Visit the Toys 'R' Us and the LVMH web sites. Look for the 'contact us' link(s) on their pages.
We can probably have a bigger impact on Toys 'R' Us, since we're more likely patronizing their business - call 1.888.toysweb and voice your displeasure! Their media comments department number is 1.415.904.7070 .
However, here are the LVHM group's company websites, and the LVMH family of companies listing. You just may purchase something from them from time to time, although I'm sure their products appeal a whole lot more to the likes of the Kennedys and other liberal elites. Well, no more Hennessy cognac for me (I don't drink that much of it anyway)! Here's a text listing :

How about sending letters like the following, esp. to Toys 'R' Us:
Dear Sir or Madam:
I have read the article at NYpost.com concerning your attempt to restrict the NRA from opening a legitimate business in Times Square. To put it very simply, I can assure you that you have just lost many customers. I have already shared this information with every firearms owner and supporter of freedom that I can possibly contact. With about 65-80 million firearms owners in America, not to mention those supporters of freedom who choose not to own a firearm, I expect that the impact to your business(es) will be felt almost immediately. If you don't believe it, ask the CEOs of K-Mart, Citicorp, and Smith & Wesson.
Regards,
(your name)
"But the talk-show host said she and her family do need protection because of
threats made against her, arising from her pro-gun control stands."
[ Apparently, Rosie seems to think that NOBODY ELSE needs to protect themselves - or they would hire a bodyguard. The fact of the matter is that WE DO need to protect ourselves, we CAN'T AFFORD bodyguards, and we shouldn't HAVE TO ANYWAY. We have the right to decide for OURSELVES how to best protect our families. ]
"O'Donnell expressed concern that publicity about her son's attendance at a local school - coupled with the information that the guard would be unarmed - could make him vulnerable to harm. The Advocate is not naming the school or O'Donnell's neighborhood because of the potential security issues."
[ However, that fact that she's trying to DISARM THE REST OF US - making us vulnerable to harm - does not seem to concern "Ms." O'Donnell in the least. ]
"Among the more vocal critics of O'Donnell are members of the National Rifle Association, as she has used her morning television talk show as a platform to advocate stricter gun control laws."
[ EXCEPT, of course, for ROSIE. ]
" O'Donnell likes the town, but sometime finds that "people here have too much money." She said she always hoped to be able to send her children to public school. "I come from a working-class background. That's always been the plan." "
[ I think she's right ... Rosie DOES have 'too much money'. It should be confiscated and sent to the NRA for firearm safety training. ]
Here's another article on Rosie's hypocrisy, as HER CHILD is 'allowed' to be safe, but NOT yours! Tanya K. Metaksa also wrote about Rosie O'Donnell's Elitism on World Net Daily. And here's a letter from Rosie in support of somebody running for the office of U.S. Senator from Michigan - with my comments, of course.
How IRONIC, as people like these - who are "PRO CHOICE", profess to be concerned about the safety of OUR CHILDREN. On the one hand, they defend 'the choice' to literally kill more than 1.25 MILLION unborn children every year through abortion procedures. [CAUTION - VERY GRAPHIC] - Million Moms (NOT the same "Million" Moms that 'marched') explores this issue in detail. [Check also Campaign to End Partial Birth Abortions.] One may argue for justification in some cases, but there are many abortions that are perfomed simply "for convenience". On the other hand, they express absolute HORROR and OUTRAGE that between 490 and 620 children (15 years old and under) die each year in the USA due to the intentional misuse of firearms AND accidental shootings. Is it the fact that we don't yet KNOW these aborted children that makes it OK to kill them? They DEMONIZE organizations like the NRA, which is protecting our right to protect ourselves and our children at the expense of the criminals. They should be SUPPORTING the NRA, if they are REALLY concerned about people's safety. Heck, firearms SAVE many more lives than they cost - anywhere from 1 MILLION to 2.5 MILLION, depending on a whole bunch of factors.
Here's a site called Stop Planned Parenthood, of the American Life League. This site gives up to date information on lawsuits lost by Planned Parenthood and other stories - a must for the pro-life community.
Just for equal time, here's a link to Planned Parenthood - "Founded in 1916, Planned Parenthood is the world's largest and oldest voluntary family planning organization. Planned Parenthood is dedicated to the principles that every individual has a fundamental right to decide when or whether to have a child, and that every child should be wanted and loved." I have some questions ... Every individual? -- Or every woman? What if the father wants the child? Can't we (don't we) ALREADY make that choice? = Responsibility? If a child 'is NOT wanted and loved', is it OK to kill him or her? Does this apply to old people too - or just not yet?
Here's information from the U.S. DOJ (Dept. of Justice) on infanticide (homicides of children) figures for children under 5 years of age. There are some interesting figures.
Of all children under age 5 murdered from 1976-98 --
68% were killed by family (and 62% by their own parents ! ), 92% were killed by somebody who was at least an acquaintance, and only 3% were killed by strangers. These children were killed by somebody KNOWN TO THEM AND THEIR FAMILY, presumably by somebody who was to be "trusted". It would seem to me that in a case of a young child, since they can offer no resistance, that the method employed was irrelevant to the deed. Whether a parent or family friend shoots, drowns, or beats the defenseless child to death - the method - is meaningless (except, of course when one considers the amount of victim suffering involved). What IS REALLY disturbing is that (1) anybody would kill ANY young child, and even more distressing is that (2) parents kill their OWN children. "A parent is the perpetrator in most homicides of children under age 5" (U.S. DOJ).
The raw numbers for 1998 were a total of 639 children under 5 killed - mostly by a relative or a "trusted" individual. Compare that to the 42 killed accidentally with a firearm. Where is the bigger problem?
If one is more interested in fact than babble, a report issued in 1999 by the Centers for Disease Control entitled "Deaths: Final Data for 1997," makes for interesting reading. It demonstrates the disparity between stark reality and political hyperbole.
According to that report, 980 children under the age of 15 accidentally drowned, while another 684 died in accidental fires. Meanwhile, 707 kids under 15 died of pneumonia and 2,681 died in motor vehicle accidents.
In that same year, (1997) 142 children under 15 died from accidental gunfire injuries, while another 348 died in murders involving a firearm.
An American child is five times more likely to die of pneumonia than from an accidental gunshot wound, five times more likely to be burned to death, seven times more likely to drown and 18 times more likely to die in a car accident. Yet what garners more attention? Will we see a "million moms" rally to stop these tragedies? Obviously not, for such activities are irrelevant to those seeking to empower government and disenfranchise the individual.
The real issue for ardent gun-control advocates is not the safety of children, but the dread of a very responsible use. The proponents of progressive government fear a populace that has the ability to defend, with the ultimate action, the philosophy of individual liberty.
" Your children are a whole lot safer with ME and my firearms than they are with you and your 'choice'. "

News Release NRA Condemns Smith & Wesson Sell-Out "A futile act of craven self-interest ... jeopardizing an entire U.S. industry..." (WASHINGTON, DC) -- James Jay Baker, chief lobbyist for the National Rifle Association, today condemned in the strongest terms Smith & Wesson's announced gun control compact with the Clinton-Gore Administration. "This is a futile act of craven self-interest," said Baker. "In their rush to liquidate an inconvenient asset, executives at Tomkins PLC are jeopardizing an entire U.S. industry and undermining a Constitutionally guaranteed right. Lawmakers and citizens should be outraged at this unwelcome intrusion into the legislative process." Smith & Wesson is owned by the British-based corporation Tomkins PLC which has made it widely known it would like to sell the U.S. gun maker. "Smith & Wesson has promised away not only its own rights but those of licensed gun dealers and law-abiding gun owners. While the media focus has been on gun locks and serial numbers, there are many more unreported provisions that will directly impact everyone from the gun maker to the consumer. But -- typical of gun control schemes -- those who remain unaffected are criminals." Details of the agreement that affect law-abiding purchasers include rationing gun sales; mandatory testing for purchasers; and bureaucratic mandates of capricious changes to gun design. Smith & Wesson has also pledged certain behaviors on the part of licensed gun dealers -- behaviors it cannot enforce -- such as refraining from selling legal, but politically incorrect, semi-automatic rifles and ammunition magazines; a prohibition on selling firearms at any gun show where any legal private sale is conducted; and a requirement to include with every firearm sold anti-gun propaganda. "I urge every gun maker in this country to consider the fact that the Clinton-Gore Administration is no more willing now to enforce the nation's tough federal gun laws than before this agreement. Nor does this agreement dispense with the bulk of existing city lawsuits or threats from other state and federal agencies. That means that when violence with firearms continues -- and it will until we get serious about prosecuting armed criminals -- the American legal system will once again be misused to pillory gun makers for the sake of politics and greed."
Here are details of the "SELL-OUT" from HUD, and here is the Smith & Wesson (cowards) Agreement courtesy of the NSSF : Agreement.PDF (Adobe Acrobat Format).
Did you know that Smith & Wesson is owned by a British parent company? It's name is Tomkins PLC. Check out some information about all the daughter companies that you may NOT want to patronize ... Tomkins PLC information.
S&W sells forgings to Kimber (slides & frames), Harley-Davidson (transmissions), and Weatherby (rifle bolts and manufactures Weatherby rifles under contract). So, if you buy a Kimber, Harley Davidson or Weatherby, you are helping S&W stay alive.
The Smith & Wesson boycott is gaining ground -- it's WORKING, folks -- just like our battle with Citibank worked. It seems that Smith & Wesson is planning to close two plants for 1 month, 'partly because of the fallout from its landmark gun-safety deal with the government.' Included on this page is the list of companies that are STANDING TOUGH against the KlinTons. Support them!
CITIBANK RUMORS CONFIRMED
For several weeks there have been rumors circulating on the Internet and in the media that Citibank refuses to do business with lawful firearms dealers, and while NRA was aware of the situation, we declined to comment until we heard directly from Citibank regarding its policies. The story started when a gun dealer in Nevada was told, after opening an account with a local Citibank branch, that the account would be closed due to company policy. We have now received Citibank's official response to this issue, which is as follows:
"Citibank's consumer business has a long-standing policy of not engaging in financial relationships with businesses that manufacture or sell military weapons, military munitions or firearms. In keeping with this policy, the account in question should not have been opened. The customer was notified that we would close the account, because it was not in compliance with this policy."
Because of this policy, Citigroup, Inc., the parent company of Citibank and the second largest financial institution in the U.S., has been added to NRA-ILA's Anti-Gun Support fact sheet. If you are a Citibank customer, or do business with any of Citigroup's numerous subsidiaries, you may want to express your concerns regarding this policy that blacklists lawful firearms dealers. Here's MORE.
This is a list of those businesses, entertainers, etc... who DESERVE OUR SUPPORT:
How about this? - and I've thought about THIS ONE for a while. Databases are only useful if they contain USEFUL information. We're (I'm) pretty sure that the NICS database is being used illegally to create a database of gunowners. Right or wrong? Assuming I'm right, I propose we turn the information collected to crap. I see 2 ways to do this : (1) erase what they've already collected, or (2) give 'em TOO MUCH USELESS data. I don't think #1 is feasible, and is probably illegal - even though their database is illegal. I won't do anything illegal, anyway. Now, #2 is feasible. All we need to do is start to submit every name we can get our hands on until the database holds WAY TOO MANY NAMES for it to be of any use anymore for confiscation purposes. I think the name is submitted whether a firearm is purchased or not, they just have to be "run through the system". We'd need some FFL holders or others who can run a NICS check to help us with this one. I understand that some SCHOOLS were using NICS to check on prospective teachers they were considering hiring (?).
The ANTI-gun people seem to want to register us and our guns. Perhaps it's time we did the same for them. Establish a national database of known anti-gun activists and sympathizers. Not just the Charlie Schumer's and Sarah Brady's. I'm talking about all of them including your neighbors and the people at your office.
The purpose? When push comes to shove, and it eventually will, unless we the gun owners cave in like they did in Canada, Australia and England, we need to know who these people are. If we use our guns as the Founding Fathers intended, to secure our freedom by force of arms, if necessary, a lot of these people will try to crawl into the woodwork claiming they were never anti-gun. We need a comprehensive list so we can deal with these people after the dust settles.
This should be no more of a threat to them than their wanting to register us is to us. I'm d**ned tired of the "defend and retreat, defend and retreat" tactics. We've got to start carrying the ball on offense at least some of the time.
Would the names and addresses of these people be available on-line to criminals so they would know where to go to do their "shopping" and practice their "craft" in complete safety? Why not? If they don't think that the presence of firearms is an effective deterent, then why should they care?
Heck, this could REALLY wrap some of these ANTIs around the axle. In fact, those who straddle the fence or are ANTIs just to be "PC" might want to re-think their position when this happens! I've seen "gags" - like signs - that state something to the effect of 'No guns here'. This would be NO GAG, and would force every ANTI to put their money where their mouth is.
Oh, and here's MORE ...
We will ALSO set up a database of all their ANTI 'heros' who OWN FIREARMS or employ ARMED bodyguards. That's right - a database of ANTI turncoats - traitors - hypocrites - whatever you want to call them. That would shake up the ANTIs - and cause a fair amount of dissention, I would think.
We could go farther than any of this. How about calling them out, see if they have the courage of their convictions?:
Have them sign a legally binding document, stating that they do not own or possess firearms of any type, and will not do so in the future, under penalty of felony conviction for violating the agreement. This registry would be computerized, so police can run their names for a hit and be informed that they have a felony arrest on their hands when they catch one. - Just the same as they want to do to us and our guns.
This may be a good idea in principle. However, according to what I've been taught, you can't sign any of your RIGHTS away.
.... although people DO "waive" their rights on occaision - don't they? Hmmmm, wait a minute ... now I suppose that if they don't think that owning a firearm (probably the best means for self-defense) IS a RIGHT, then they wouldn't be signing them away? But if we accept their signature, then would we be agreeing that it is NOT a RIGHT? Hmmmm .... I'm struggling here. I don't think we should accept their signature in this case, as we KNOW it IS a RIGHT, so it wouldn't be binding, and we would be giving credence to their misguided belief that owning a firearm is not a RIGHT.
Any attorneys out there that can help us out with this one?
I ran this by somebody last night. He got a little wishy-washy on me - but I'm glad he did, because it gave me a chance to think the argument through. His contention was:
Him: You could then be SUED (of course) by somebody who was put on the "criminal's grocery list" if they became a victim of a crime.
Me: On what grounds?
Him: You made them vulnerable to crime.
Me: NO, I didn't. THEY made themselves vulnerable by choosing NOT to protect themselves.
Him: But you advertised it.
Me: So? I was just telling the truth. Besides, these people are violating the U.S. Code by not owning a firearm. They would not be prepared to report as a member of the unorganized militia, if called.
Him: I don't know ... you're telling the crooks who to attack.
Me: Oh, really? If they try to sue on the grounds that by listing their name as an ANTI I made them vulnerable, then THEY are FLAT OUT ADMITTING that firearm ownership in the population DETERS CRIME. Period. Hell! Did YOU know that the local newspapers in Fairfax Co., Va. were identifying (I don't know if they still do) people who got the CCW in their paper? Nobody screamed about that.
Him: Well, the crooks knew who NOT to rob.
Me: True, but what if their houses were ransacked when they weren't home because a burglar wanted to steal any firearms that they WEREN'T carrying?
This could be done voluntarily, or, not so nicely, by force. I'd try the voluntarily approach first. How would the automobile manufacturers who advertise "FAST CARS" and "TURBOS" like to be sued for selling to those who "WILL intentionally drive too fast and/or recklessly"? What about the BASEBALL BAT that was used in "The Untouchables" to bash a turncoat's head in? How about knives, etc ... Would the manufacturers of these items and the MOVIE INDUSTRY like to be sued for being irresponsible or supplying a DANGEROUS PRODUCT? Perhaps they would be willing allies, once they understand that they could very well be the NEXT industry targeted with these ludicrous lawsuits.
Assuming there IS an "Echelon" ... get everyone to flood the internet (e-mails and web pages) with those bad "echelon" words - keep 'em hopping. I'd set up some fake rocketmail, juno, and hotmail accounts to do this. Here is the list of target words - as far as I know them.
Here are a couple more "Echelon-like" mechanisms ... "Carnivore" (e-mail analyzer) and "Semantic Forests" (analyzes telephone voice transcripts).
I hope this page proves useful to us all in combatting the 'PC' LEFT who are attempting to drag this country down so that it will "fit in" with the UN's vision of a One World Government - governed by the UN, of course. GOOD LUCK TO US ALL from the Spirit of '76 Pages!!
