Military Macaw
Meet Joey my newest bird friend, he has come to live on my pages and has fun with Sweetie and Robby. Cynthia has been showing him around the rooms here on my web pages. He really seems to like it here. He is a shy bird, but very sweet. He will sit on Cynthia's shoulder and kiss her cheek. It's soooo cute. He like to eat seeds, and doesn't like to be in his cage, so he is out most of the day, until he gets tired, then he likes to go in his cage and rest. hehehhe I hope you learn something about Military Macaws below.

The Military Macaw is the smallest of the large macaws, acquiring a total length of about 28 inches. The most commonly seen originated from Venezuela, Columbia, and Peru. Military Macaws are easy going and affectionate, although some say they are high strung and nippy, they aren't. Militarys seem to accept new homes and acclimate more readily that some of the others. The Military is an excellent choice for someone that wants a large macaw, but can't afford the prices that most of the others demand.
