Ditchell
Ditchell, Anthony Lived in Tucker St middle of 18th century. Was on the poor rate in 1767, he died in 1769. Ditchels house and barn stood until 1893 when they were pulled down to build the Metropole hotel.
Ditchell, John Lived in Tucker St middle of 18th century. Was on the poor rate in 1791and 1799. He was a general merchant, coal, wood, corn etc.. The warehouse had a small crane which used to load cargo off boats and haul it up the cliff face. The family died out and are not mentioned in 1841 directory.
