Accomodations

    Accommodations

As all our events will be taking place within Spring Mill Park, we have blocked rooms for our group at Spring Mill Inn within the park. The Spring Mill Inn is a very nice facility. It has an indoor-outdoor pool, a game room, restaurant, elevators, and the Lakeview Room which will be the room in which our Banquet is scheduled.
There are several kinds of rooms available. They will be assigned by receipt of deposit. The deposit amount required is $20.00 per room.  I have only a limited number of various types of rooms available, so please specify your preference on the enclosed registration form. The room types and rates are as follows:

  room w/two double beds  $69.00/night
  king room   $69.00/night
  queen room   $59.00/night
  room w/one double bed  $59.00/night

Most of these rooms are blocked for all three nights: Thurs, July 6th,  Friday, July 7th, and Saturday, July 8th.  There are a few rooms I could only block for two nights, the 6th and the 7th. I can also try and arrange for additional nights added on to either end of the three night stay, but the flexibility to do this decreases as time goes on. All room reservations, cancellations, and extensions should be done through the Family Weekend Chairman (Carol Sheedy (219) 359-1764). I will be supplying Spring Mill Inn with the room assignments two weeks prior to our event, so they will have no knowledge of your reservation until then, and that is why all the arrangements need to be handled by the Chairman.

I urge you to utilize your reservation form and send your room deposit as soon as possible in order to reserve your room preference. You may cancel at any time up to two weeks ahead of the event and receive your room deposit back with no penalty (see refund policies).

OTHER POSSIBILITIES FOR LODGING
Spring Mill State Park has a campground, and perhaps your group might be interested in that option (see Camping).
Bloomington, Indiana is the closest major town to Spring Mill State Park. As it is a university town, it has many motel rooms available and perhaps you’d like to stay there. It is 38 miles from Spring Mill State Park.
There are other towns nearby which may or may not have lodging availability. Among them are Bedford and Seymour.
