The 1996 Chamberlin-Schabowski Family Weekend held in Park City, Kentucky
was just the beginning! "Something for everyone!" said Phil Chamberlin
of Kerman, California. "So many terrific people in the family!" wrote Peggy
Chamberlin of Los Angeles. "Thanks for the wonderful memories!" wrote Mary
Chamberlin of Owensboro, Kentucky. As a matter of fact, our 1996 Family
Weekend was so great that it is being featured in the Second Edition of
Tom Ninkovich's "Family Reunion Handbook" distributed by Betterway Books.
The book features two pages of information on our Family Weekend plus several
pictures of our participants. This book can be ordered from the following

With the experience gained from the 1996 event, your Reunion Committee feels that they can once again provide an enjoyable experience for everyone. While it may seem early to be making plans for the year 2000, we wanted to make sure everyone had plenty of time to prepare for this event. The popularity of Spring Mill Park as as reunion site required this committee to make the arrangements at this time. Spring Mill was chosen as the site because of its many recreational opportunities, its meeting room and shelter facilities, and its location in the Midwest (closest to the majority of Family members). Due to the presence of a Pioneer Village and a memorial to the second man in space (Gus Grissom), within the park, we haved decided to make the theme of our event "Pioneer Spirit" to honor the pioneering spirit of our immigrant ancestors and relation.
