To get you started on reading about Brian, I've typed some things ups.
*New* Added Dec. 30th, Melody Maker show you how to get that perfect Brian look (from the pre-V99 MM issue, August 21, 1999)
AND
Brian's Fave Single and Least fave single from when he reviewed singles for MM.
Two reviews of the show Placebo played a few months in South Africa with Garbage. Unfortunately, they both seem to think Garbage was better but, ach, what do they know??? The first and the second both kindly donated by Antoinette, who also contributed her own review of the show that you can access from the front page. These articles added September 26th.
added July 4th, In the end of the year Melody Maker of '97 they had some long thing about the Manic Street Preachers and they interviewed various bands that they thought could give the Manics "a run for their eyeliner". One of the people they interviewed was our Brian Molko
Added June 24th, Brian and Louise's letter to Santa from the Melody Maker end of '97 issue.
From the end of '97 NME Brian reviewed some singles with Saffron from Republica, Shaun Ryder of Happy Mondays and Black Grape fame and two of the Fun Lovin' Criminals (who weren't there for the first part of the interview). Please enjoy it;)
Now you can read the second part of the singles review or if you have read the first you still can;)
*I've finally typed up the last part of the singles review*
And Melody Maker did a small interview with the band about Velvet Goldmine.
Placebo had a one page interview in the December 1998 issue of Bikini magazine. And you miy friends, can read it here
Awhile back NME asked readers to send in questions that people wanted to ask Placebo. In the '98 end of the year issue they printed the answers in an article called "Missive Attack". The NME website in parts put the answers up and I have copied them (NME of course in no way approves of this, just so you know, so don't tell them! shhh!) so that people can read them after NME takes them down. A lot of the questions actually provided very amusing answers
Read a Brian interview from the April 17th, 1999 edition of Melody Maker. Kindly typed up by one Alan, click on his name to visit his webpage
I know I shouldn't have done this but I wanted to share this interview from SPINonline with people who come to this page and it's only available on AOL (I'm quite sure) so I copied and pasted it for everyone to see. If by some chance anyone who actually did this interview comes here (though I doubt it) and wants me to take it down, let me know.
While I was in Ireland I noticed on the cover of what I believe was the Irish Sun "Straight talk with Brian Molko" in a corner at the top. Obvious they drew me in and I was elated to find an interview/article in The Source section of the paper. Which you can read here! Anyone who can verify that it was the Sun (as I don't remember) please just drop me an e-mail, okay?
Ummm, if you missed my link above, then get a link here for the last part of the '97 singles review;)
Section 3 interviews Brian
Stefan interview yea it's not Brian but it's still a nice little interview.
That's all I've got for now but I'll take any contributions people would like to send me. Of course, all Brian interviews are lovely but since Brian talks a lot anyways any Placebo interview you want to send it fine;)
