Lamington Crayfish

Lamington Crayfish are found in the Lamington Plateau in South East Queensland, inland from the Gold Coast. After rain, they are often found crossing the tracks in the National Park at Binna Burra and O'Reilleys.
As they are a protected species, I have not bred them. This female is in "berry". The eggs are held under the tail.
The commercially grown crayfish (lobby) in Queensland is the Red Claw. (Not shown here).
