Prince William: Astrological Chart [Outer Solar System]

Definition: [Prince William Horoscope] Below you can see a standard astrological chart for William's birth and an outer solar system chart for the exact moment of William's birth.

Prince William's Standard Horoscope Chart. This geocentric chart uses the tropical zodiac and the Placidus house system.  As such it is the standard form of chart in Western astrology. It gives William as Mars, Saturn and Pluto in Libra. Jupiter on the cusp just inside Scorpius, Uranus and Neptune are in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the Rising Sign.

Prince William's Outer Solar System Chart at the time of his birth. [The Solar System viewed from above the Celestial North Pole. The Vernal Equinox is at the 12 o'clock position.] The rings on the chart are the paths of the planets around the Sun. The 'pie segments' of the chart show which constellation a planet is seen against as seen from Earth. Mars, Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter, can be seen from Earth against the constellation of Virgo. Uranus can be seen against the constellation Libra, and Neptune against the constellation Ophiuchus. William's Rising Sign is not shown - it has no connection with planetary position. Click on the chart above to see the Inner Solar System Chart. [Note: the orbits have been scaled slightly to separate out the planets. The positions of the planets in their orbits are accurate, as are their signs.]

Further Information: Why are the two charts so different? They show completely different planetary transits: for example 'Pluto is in Libra', the Scales, in the astrological chart, but Pluto is seen against Virgo, the Maiden, in the real solar system chart.

In answer if you look carefully at the positions on the outer planets on both charts you will see that they are the same, relative to each other. For example on the standard chart they read Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter going clockwise and on the solar system chart they are in the same order, Uranus Neptune and Jupiter going clockwise. The difference between the two charts is not the planetary positions but the Zodiac Wheel against which they are measured.

The standard Western chart uses the Tropical Zodiac. This is a description of the heavens which assumes all the zodiac signs are of equal length and that their positions roughly correspond to the positions of the constellations about two thousand years ago, when the roots of modern astrology were established. The solar system chart is an accurate depiction of reality. The constellations are not of equal length and, because of the Movement of the Ages, do not correspond to the same positions as seen from Earth, relative to the Vernal Equinox, as they did two millennia ago.

The accuracy of the solar system chart can easily be checked by looking at the Star Charts of the sky at the moment of William's birth. Saturn really can be seen in the Southern sky against the stars of Virgo, not Libra.

A final difference between the real solar system and the Tropical Zodiac is that of Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer. Ophiuchus does not appear in the Tropical Zodiac. It however is a Real Solar Zodiac constellation, against which planets are seen to transit. For Prince William, Neptune is seen against Ophiuchus at the moment of William's birth. It turns out that Ophiuchus is also William's Ascendant.
