OVER THE
1900 to 1909
- Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus , Ipoh was founded
by Mother St Victoire.Eight students were registered in
a wooden house in Brewster Road.
1910 to 1919
- Four students passed the Standard Seven Examination
In March 1910, the students.
1920 to 1929
- Conversational and written English , Arithmetic ,
Singing , Writing , Drawing , Dictation , Geography , Drills and Physical Exercise were taught.
1930 to 1939
- Emphasis in the curriculum was attaining academic achievements
1940 to 1949
- The school was closed for three years and eight months during the Japanese occupation
1950 to 1959
- The school became known as the Main Convent ,Ipoh as sister Convent schools were established.
1960 to 1969
- Main Convent had a total of 35 classes , 5 of which were housed in Tarcisian Convent , under the supervision of Sister Ann.
1970 to 1979
- Academic excellence was consistently maintained in public examinations like the LCE/SRP/PMR and MCE/SPM.
1980 to 1989
- The Malaysian Certificate of Education examination was conducted in Bahasa Melayu for the first time for Arts subjects
1990 TO 1999
- Sekolah Menengah Convent was national runner-up at
the first Tan Sri Datuk Wira Abdul Rahman Arshad Debating Tournament.
