Music 1/2

As if you haven't read it before elsewhere on my site, I had to go and make a page dedicated solely to my music. So enjoy!

This is my theory on music. With the exeption of Garth Brooks, the best decade for music is the 80s, despite the fact that it consisted mostly of one-hit wonders. The 60s were notable for their transformation of the music industry by The Beatles, as well as other top acts like The Doors. The 70s had Kiss and Queen, and disco-which may or may not have been a good thing. Like I said, the 90s have Garth Brooks, Sarah McLachlan, Garbage, and the Goo Goo Dolls; and a strong case could be made based on 1997-present, but it still just doesn't have the strength of the 80s. That, and the fact that the middle of the decade was marred by a bunch of Boyz II Men clones. But, in my opinion, the decade that brought us hits like "Rock Me Amadeus," by Falco, "We Built This City," by Starship, "Turning Japanese," by The Vapors, numerous other songs, the best-selling album of all time (at the time) with Michael Jackson's THRILLER, and whose last gasp gave birth to the greatest male and female performers of all time (Garth Brooks-Garth Brooks-1989, Sarah McLachlan-Touch-1988/89) is why the 80s was the BEST DECADE FOR MUSIC EVER.
