SERBS CONDEMN OBRENOVIC’S ARREST.
Dragan Obrenovic, commander of Zvornik brigade of Serb army
was detained not far from Zvornik in Bosnia and Herzegovina
April, 15. It happened in a week after International Tribunal
in the Hague published a warrant to arrest Obrenovic. The
Hague Tribunal officials voiced their satisfaction with the

CHINA IS NOT TO RETURN AMERICAN SPY PLANE UNTIL THE
INVESTIGATION IS OVER .
A delegation of US officials, led by deputy state secretary
Pete Verga has arrived in Beijing to begin talks on the recent
mid-air collision between an American spy plane and a Chinese
fighter jet. The negotiations are to start April,18.

BORODIN IN HOSPITAL AGAIN.
Pavel Borodin was taken to hospital again, Interfax news agency
reported. According to his family, Borodin was hospitalized for a
treatment course but it is unclear how long he will stay in the
hospital. Pavel Borodin, 54, Russian-Belarus State Secretary and a
former Russian presidential aide, arrested in the USA under a Swiss
arrest warrant and extradited to Switzerland was released on
$3m-bail and returned to Moscow on April 13. He was indicted by
Swiss authorities on charges of money laundering. He steadily denies
all the accusations.

TURNER TO RECONSIDER NTV PURCHASE.
US media magnate and CNN's founder Ted Turner is reconsidering his
participation in the NTV deal, Turner's spokesman Brian Faw told
Itar-Tass news agency. "We are disappointed by last week-end's
developments around NTV", Faw said. He added that Turner's final
decision would be ascertained in a few days' time. The Washington
Post reported last week that Turner might drop out of NTV deal if
the disintegration of the NTV staff went on. After managers
appointed by Russia's state-dominated gas company Gazprom seized
control of the embattled private NTV television network on Saturday
night many journalists and technical personnel decided to leave NTV.

ISRAELI AIR FORCE FIRES AT SYRIAN RADAR INSTALLATIONS.
Israeli
air force fired at Syrian radar
installation on Mount Lebanon, 20 miles east of
Lebanon capital Beirut. According to Lebanon
side, at least three Syrian servicemen were
killed in the attack, five were injured.

PUTIN MEETS IN KHANKALA WITH HEADS OF LOCAL ADMINISTRATIONS OF CHECHNYA.
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in
Chechnya on Saturday. The head of state flew by
helicopter to dominant height 776.0 where just
over a year ago the sixth company of Pskov
paratroopers died in an unequal battle. The
Russian President laid flowers at the height and

22-year-old Alexey Pomoikin arranged a “night of
sacrifice” in the Russia’s town of Biysk, Altai
territory. “I’ve heard a voice, telling me: kill
7 persons tonight, and you will be rewarded by
me! It was a voice of Prince of the Darkness”,
said the criminal during the interrogation.

RUSSIAN PEACEKEEPER'S DEATH IS NOT TO MAKE RUSSIA WITHDRAW ITS
UNIT FROM KOSOVO.
A Russian serviceman was killed in a terrorist attack on a
Russian peacekeeping patrol in Kosovo. According to Russia's
military attache to Belgrade Lieutenant General Yevgeny
Barmyantsev, the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon near
the village of Zuja on the Serbian administrative border.

defence system on the battle-ground which can be regarded as
