Lieutenant Ezri Dax counselor, Deep Space 9 Trill Ezri was an ensign counselor aboard the starship Destiny when she was joined to the Dax symbiont. Ezri was unprepared and unqualified for the joining, but was the only Trill around and had to volunteer in order to save the symbiont's life. Sharing the memories of Sisko and the DS9 crew, Ezri accompanied Sisko back to the station and was officially transferred there. After battling Jadzia's past feelings for Worf and stuggling with her new identity, Ezri settled into her new life and began a relationship with Dr. Bashir.
