But Dumbledore has an assignment for them which forces them to come to terms with one another and the truth of what happens when you let someone in. A/N: Since we know nothing of the personal lives of the professors, I thought it would be interesting to see some correspondence between Snape and an OC during the school term. And thus this little adventure was born. It was my second forray into the realm of HP fanfic and has been put on hold due to the muses hammering me with other, more pressing ideas.

WIP about a new professor at Hogwarts. She's (half) American, a Hogwarts graduate, and has a dark secret. And she's having quite an effect on the poor potions master, much to Dumbledore's pleasure.

A/N: This one has a few redeeming qualities, but needs a complete overhaul. Which will happen eventually. It was my first attempt at HP fanfic and I have left it behind due to its high doses of Mary-Sue. I like to think (and hope and pray!) that my fics have gotten more sophisticated and my OCs less Mary-Sue than this, but I still like this one. It has potential. ;-)

R; Het; Snape/OC

It's the Dream Team's 5th year at Hogwarts and there's a new teacher in town. She's driving the potions master mad and she may even be a threat from Lord Voldemort himself. But there is much more to her than anyone can imagine, except perhaps Albus Dumbledore, who always seems to know everything before anybody else.

A/N: WIP that has taken a sort of crossover tone. It's based in JKR's world and uses many of her characters, but a dynamic new dimension has been added. It's starting to transform into an original work that is trying to kidnap poor Professor Snape. It seems the muses want to steal him completely away from Ms. Rowling. (Finally, those dang creatures are doing something worthwhile!) *wicked grin*

What happens when your brother is your most hated enemy? What happens when you're forced to work together? What happens when you share a history you'd rather forget?

A/N: Black/Lupin implied, and one other small slash refrence that is a key plot point, thus classifying mention here as a spoiler. The main focus is Snape and an OFC. May or may not end it here, {probably not as I've got more ideas for it} though it is in need of tweaking either way (to take a page from Ms. Rowling's book...) hee-hee! ;-P
