This is the main domain of the muses. This is their home, so do wipe your feet and try not to break anything. It makes them rather "cranky." You wouldn't like them "cranky." Not even the professor can tolerate them "cranky."

Feedback

We do, however, welcome feedback from our readers. First, I would like to make it clear what I mean by feedback. I welcome constructive criticism as well as praise. I prefer specifics, however, instead of "I like this story" or "I hate this story." I like to know what people like and don't like and why they do or don't like it. I wish to improve my writing, not receive an undeserved ego-boost. If you don't like something, though, please back it up with a reason other than "I just don't like it" or "I don't agree with this ship" and so on. Tell me exactly what you liked or didn't like and why you feel that way about it. I'm not afraid of criticism and I won't bite you if you don't like something, so long as you can tell me why you didn't like it. The "You're great. Keep it up!" or "You suck!" type of reviews show that people are at least reading my work, and that is nice, but relatively unhelpful in improving.

Feel free to send an owl, or leave a comment in the guestbook. I am planning on giving in and posting these and possibly future fics to The Pit of Voles soon. So if you prefer their review system, that may soon be possible. Be on the look out for those double links. They should be up in the next few days (perhaps weeks for some fics) or so.

Be forewarned that if you plan on flaming, no matter which method, as outlined above, that you may use, the muses will only imprison you in humiliating parody fics for all eternity and I shall merely point and laugh as they do.

Ratings

I've tried to use the ratings system that runs rampant throughout all internet fandoms to keep out the wrong kinds of inquisitive and youthful eyes, but I'm not here to patrol and keep you in line. Also, I'm not terribly wonderful at following the ratings system "to the letter," so an R-rated fic may well contain an NC-17 scene, or a PG fic may seem more appropriate as R to you. So read at your own risk. I am kind enough to clearly mark fics as het or slash for anyone who wishes to avoid either type.

It's in your hands whether you read them or not. If you read it and you know it's not your cup of tea, please don't inform me of that or that I am a terrible human being for writing such filth. Your opinion is not going to stop me from writing what I wish to write or post on my web space.

Also, I don't have an "official" beta. I'm not looking for one either. I have very dedicated unofficial betas who are more than willing to give me pointers before posting a fic, and I have sufficient knowledge of English grammar, syntax and spelling on my own. So please don't ask to read anything early or offer to beta.
