Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers - fun for everyone at Guideacres!

GUIDEACRES is the County campsite of the East Yorkshire Guide Association. The eight acre site is well-drained and surrounded by woodland, and offers excellent camping facilities.

The site is divided into four main areas by screens of young trees; each area is in itself large enough for several Patrols to camp.

The surrounding countryside offers some good walks on the gentle slopes of the Yorkshire Wolds, and Guideacres is less than twenty miles from the coast and within easy reach of the city of Hull and the historic town of Beverley, and not too far from the ancient city of York.

Besides its primary use as a campsite, Guideacres is also available for Rainbow Activities, Brownie Revels, Activity Days, etc.

FACILITIES

TOILET/SHOWER BLOCK	The block has hot and cold running water available at all times; the showers are free.
DRINKING WATER	Two fresh water taps are centrally positioned to ensure adequate water to all camp sites.
FIREWOOD	Covered woodpiles are now in place at each of the separate camping areas.
ALTAR FIRES	All equipment required for altar fires is available on-site. Turfing is NOT allowed
CHEMICAL TOILET WASTE DISPOSAL POINT
CAMPFIRE	Large permanent campfire circle
PIONEERING	Equipment available for use.
CONFIDENCE COURSE / ADVENTURE PLAY AREA
INDOOR ACTIVITY ROOM	Large main hall with heating. Kitchen with hot water, electric cooker with fridge/freezer facilities. Three toilets and washbasins. (Also available for evening and day hire for meetings, trainings etc.)
EQUIPMENT	Tents and limited cooking equipment available for hire. (Please ask for a price list) Milk, fruit juice, cordials and bread can be delivered to the site. There are large supermarkets in nearby Cottingham and Willerby.
CAMP SHOP	Stock of sweets, minerals, badges, novelties, Guiding stationery and supplies etc.
FREEZER	Available to campers to freeze ice packs and limited amount of frozen foods.
