The idea of a populist
culture might be greeted today with a host of
misconceptions and misgivings. These misconceptions are
so deeply rooted, and often linked with prejudices, that
they can only be clarified with difficulty.
If we look at Europe and
North America today we see everywhere organic forces are
rising against the same deceit that surrounds us. What we
can plainly see is that national and Western values
likewise seem to erode in the corrosive global
(globalization) climate, culture shocks, acculturation
effects and identity crises are the common symptoms
identified. Yet these wounds seem self-healing, cultures
like biological mechanisms feeling the attacks of harmful
foreign bodies, unleash various immunization processes
that protect their vital cores. The key to all our wisdom
is not in pretending they do not exist, quite the
contrary, it is in understanding and predicting these
extreme reactions, even counting on them. This is how we
dominate both the harmful effects as well as anticipate
the counter-effects. When Internationalism in religion,
economics and politics withers away, the populist idea
resurfaces... Wherever the people is disregarded,
violated or humiliated, wherever it falls into need
through its own government's fault, there the flames of
welding fire flare up.
The problem is denying
both the malady and the cure. Multiculturalism could only
have survived if it accepted, integrated, adopted and
tolerated all the various ethnic components it
comprised--but failing in its grand mission, the entire
system collapses. The world may have liked to think it
was multicultural, respectful and tolerant of all races
and ethnic traditions adhering to Human Rights and UN
conventions, but this was clearly deceptive cynicism. The
fundamental problem is that those who have pursued macro
globalization trends have problems readjusting to micro
spaces, in other words they have a hard time
understanding local customs (they use binoculars instead
of microscopes); and in deciding to opt for another
reality (like abandoning Soviet utopia for a European
one) they simply trade one global lie for another.
Today our movement must
be the initiator of national doctrines, creator and
builder of new states, we must once again become pioneers
of a socioeconomic order that will guide local grass root
members toward the welfare of nations in the world.
Throughout Europe we stand as the firm guardians of
nationhood that can successfully establish the reality of
a populist state. A movement that fights the results of
Marxist dogma and supranational administrations; the
materialistic conceptions of world and history; but also
the so-called national Right who utterly fails to protect
the people and their race--deciding instead to pursue
domestic policies in the same purely economically
oriented direction.
Because we draw these
conclusions and openly express them and advocate them,
our movements have to fight a larger number of enemies,
not only the entire organized press of the liberal left
and foreign-controlled media at large but also the
national camps that dependent on high finance unwilling
to fight the established regimes of shadow economies.
Like all new ideas,
which at first have the entire world as an enemy, we must
build broad support with unflinching conviction in our
ability to carry out our mission.
We must build a new inclusive view of state or perish in
the attempt.
We see in the distance our shining goal and are
irresistibly driven towards it, and this faith will prove
us right once again.
