The CN logo looks a bit overbearing, but can be easily scaled to fit your needs. I'm not aware if there are many ACF hoppers in this paint scheme - what with the Canadian preference to use cylindricals - but I have seen them on a video from HighBall Videos. |

Marlex - from a photo posted to the newsgroups: Initially, I thought this was to be the most difficult but the results were very pleasing. Cut the right hand graphic to fit the angle of the hopper and don't discard the off-cut - use this to place each of the individual squares in random positions over the sides. |

Procor - I couldn't find a suitable font, so I used Arial Bold, and split each letter down the middle, seperated them, and then filled in the gaps. |

Rohm & Haas - from a photo posted in the newsgroups. The logo was taken from their website, which due to its small size needed extensive re-touching. I've made the entire centre panel one graphic. |

Scoular - taken from a b&w drawing which was then coloured. A problem occurs with the colour of the data, as this one isn't black, so I had to use the green that comes with MS Word. |

From a photo posted to the newsgroups - a really enjoyable task. Paint the sides white, mask out and paint the orange. For the black stripe I used off-cuts of decal sheet that I painted black and then cut to width - use excess length so you have ample to tuck into those nooks and cranies. |

Note: Yellow home-made decals done on laser copiers aren't dense enough to show up on any coloured paint other than white. For the hazard plate in the above example, there was no way that it would be visible over the orange, so what I did was to get a scrap piece of decal paper, spray paint it gloss white, and cut it to the same size as the plate - after it's dried, seal it with clear-cote, then apply the yellow plate decal over the top. Note: the lube plates above (bottom RHS) have a white border and have white writing - I used the same process above for creating both at the same time, except that the size is a bit bigger than the lube plate decal which gives you the white border. In both of the above, you could try using white decal paper - I've never used it as I consider it a huge expense just to get a sheet of lube plates etc. |
