Status (Buy, Borrow, or Not Worth It) ![]() Mega Man X Genre: Adventure Review: Great game, at least for the system, because it has a great mode of play, chalenging bosses, and its fun (not to mention addicting). IT stars the classic hero mega man X in his first adventure ever. The weapons are great, and it actually has Game Boy Advance Graphics (wow, thats advanced for the year it was built!). Fun game. Buy it. Rating: 12 Price: $14.99 Status: Buy Super Star Wars Genre: Action Review: Not bad, for cheesy SNES graphics. This game actually has a plot!!! WOW! YOu play Luke, who is fighting the dark side (duh). Not much else to say about it. Rating: 6 Price: $12.99 Status: Borrow it from a friend Super Mario All Star Genre: Compilation Review: This is a collection of games. Some suck, some rule. It depends on what you like. It includes the 3 mario lands, and the Lost Lands thing. Not bad, if you want to get a bunch of classics for a good price. Rating: 11 Price: a couple dollars. Status: Borrow Super Mario Bros Genre: Adventure Review: OH NO! THE PRINCESS HAS BEEN CAPTURED BY THE EVIL BOWSER, AND HAS BEEN TAKEN TO HIS CASTLE(s)! There is only one person who can stop him; Mario and his Brother Luigi. In this game, you can choose to be either mario or luigi, and fight to save the Mushroom Kingdom. You go through levels with LOADS of enemies (such as Goombas, Bullet Bills, and Koopa Troopas), and at the end, there is a flag, which by jumping on it as high as you can, you get extra points. At the end of each world (a streek of 4 levels) there is a Bowser's Castle as Level 4. These are normally VERY hard and VERY long. Also (only on Game Bow Color) there is a Vs. mode, which you race to the end, and in the Game Boy one, you can also play the Lost Worlds: an expansion on the other levels. This game is fun Id buy the one for the Game Boy, just cuz it has more stuff to do once you beat it. Rating: 9 Price: A couple of $. Not much. Status: Up to You. ![]() Battle Tanx 2: Global Assault Genre: Action System: N64 Review: FUN FUN!! This is a fun classic. You drive around in tanks with AWESOME weapons, and try and kill other tanks. This one is better than the first, because it has a couple new tanks to choose from, and it has THE NUKE!!!yay Anyways, buy this game. Its awesome. Rating: 12 Price: $29.99 Status: Buy Donkey Kong 64 Genre: Adventure Review: This game is great, for when it was made. In this game, you play as donkey knong, didy, lankey, and this monkey girl, in a battle to save the island from K. Rule. There are many levels, and in order to move one, you have to earn golden bananas, because K. Rule stole D.K.'s golden banana colection. This is fun. Get it. Rating: 12 Price: $24.99 Status: Buy F Zero X Review being updated. check back at a later date. Super Smash Bros Genre: Fighting Review: The game that started the great series of games. This is an AWESOME classic. You play as about 12 characters, and you go in an all out brawl against the classic nintendo characters. This game is a great addition to your collection. Rating: 12 Price: $24.99 Status: Buy ![]() Asteroids and Missile Command Genre: Duel Set Review: Ok, not much to say about this game. Its a set of 2 games: Asteroids, and Missile Command (no duh). In Asteroids, you are this ship that has to blow up all the Asteroids before they hit you. You move through the levels, but you only have 3 lives to get through all of them. In Missile Command, you have 2 Launchers, which you have to launch misiles at these things falling from space, and prevent them from hitting the city. These are ok classics, but if you dont want to go THAT old, not a good game. Graphics: 5 (good for the time it was made in, not now) Game Play: 1 (gets really boring after a while) Gamer Level: Novice Overall: 3 Price: A couple $ Status: Not Worth It Chessmaster Genre: Dumb Stuff Review: SUCKY!!! REALLY BAD!! Do not waste money on this game. All you do is play computer players in chess. No career modes, nothing good. Dont buy it. Rating: 0.01 Price: $19.99 (WAY over priced) Status: Not Worth It Donkey Kong Country Genre: Adventure Review: This game doesnt really have a plot, persay, but man is it a classic! You move through the levels, and at the end, there is a boss, then you move on to the next world. This game also has a multiplayer, which I have yet to play, cuz noone else has this game *sigh*. Not much else to say. Graphics: 7 Gameplay: 8 Gamer Level: Beginner Overall: 7.5 Price: A couple $ Status: Borrow Donkey Kong Land III Genre: Adventure Review: See Donkey Kong Country. Its basicly the same thing, minus the multiplayer, worse graphics/gameplay, yeah. Graphics: 2 Gameplay: 6 (Better executed than DKC) Gamer Level: Novice(beat it in 1 hour) Overall: 4 Price: A couple of $ Status: Not worth it Final Fantasy II Genre: Action Review: "Magi... the symbol of great power. The legacy of the ancient gods who made this world. Many fought for the mighty power. Some won and some failed. Now..... Another legend of bravery is about to begin...." That is the opening scroll type thing. The main character's father leaves, claiming to come back, but mysteriously, he doesnt. You, the main character, choose 3 friends (no, this is not a multiplayer game. there isnt even a multiplayer mode) and must find your father, while fighting many perils, and other things that can potentially end the world. This game is amazing. Graphics wise, it sucks big time, but man is this a fun game. Its not too hard, but not too easy. Fun for anyone. Graphics: 2(Like I said, sucky) Gameplay: 10 (Perfect Score!) Gamer Level: Intermediate Overall: 9 Status: Buy Pokemon Red & Blue Genre: Adventure Review: Most people think "Oh god, Pokemon? HAHA! That game is for little kids!" well, they could not be more WRONG! The game is for anyone, its just the company made pokemon too big (tv show, card game, etc). I just like the games, cuz of the good gameplay. In Pokemon Red & Blue, you are a Pokemon trainer on a quest: to get info on every pokemon in the world, and to be the best trainer in existence. To prove yourself, you must battle Gym Leaders, who, if you beat them, will give you a badge. Once you have all the badges (about 8), you go to the league, where you fight the best trainers in the world. If you beat them all, part one of your mission is done (to be the best). You still have to collect all 150 pokemon. This game is really addicting and fun. Worth whatever the price is. Graphics: 4 (Ok, this game was made for Game Boy Pocket, so its all one color) Gameplay: 10 (superb!) Gamer Level: Intermediate (must have patience) Overall: 7 Price: Who knows, who cares. Just get the damn game Status: Buy Pokemon Yellow Genre: Adventure Review: Ok, this game is pretty much the same as red and blue, but with a twist. Instead of chosing out of 3 starting pokemon, you get stuck with pikachu, and Gary gets an Eevee. You can get the original starting pokemon later in the game. Other than that, the rest is the same. Graphics: 7 (hey, they got better ^_^) Gameplay: 10 Gamer Level: Intermediate Overall: 8 Price: A couple of $ Status: Buy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (1) Genre: Sports Review: All right, this is not a game worth your money. Let me tell ya why. First of all, they may give you a great selection of characters, but they dont give you enough modes. There are only 2 1P modes, which are Half Pipe and Tournament, and 1 2P mode, which is Half Pipe. This game revolves around the pipe, but real skating doesnt. If you want a good THPS game, get Underground. Graphics: 1 (barely viewable) Gameplay: 0 (not fun at all. period) Gamer Level: Look, even a baby could beat this game in a day. Overall: 0 Price: at most, id say 50 cents. Status: Not even worth your 50 cents. Go buy a gumball Wario Land (1) Status: Adventure Review: This game was originally designed as Super Mario Land 4, but made it so big that it created its own series. It has basicly the same plot as the Mario games, minus the princess part. You go through the game by levels, big boss, then to annother "World", like in the Mario games (hey, this game was based off of the mario games). This is a definate buy, and a definate classic. Graphics: 5(for the time it was made in, these are some pretty good graphics) Gameplay: 9(Terrific, except I wouldnt recomend playing this game for 3 hours straight) Gamer Level: Beginner Overall: 8 Price: A couple $ Status: Buy Wario Land II Genre: Adventure Review:Burglars have roped the Wario Mansion of all its money! They also flooded the mansion! Its up to Wario to get his money back, and save his home! The way this works is instead of worlds its chapters. The graphics are much better and so is the gameplay. A good buy. Graphics: 7 Gameplay: 9 Gamer Level: Beginner Overall: 7 Price: a couple $ Status: Buy Wario Land III Genre: Adventure Review: Wario is flying his plane, and it crashes near a hidden temple. Inside, there is a music box, which he is sucked into. he awakes to this "Hidden Figure", who tells wario that an evil witch/thing has stolen his powers and taken over his world. It is up to Wario to save this strange new world. Graphics are much better than the others but gameplay is iffy. Graphics: 8 Gameplay: 7 Gamer Level: Beginner Overall: 8 Price: a couple $ Status: Borrow Wave Race Genre: Sports///Water Review: In this game, you race vehicles similar to SeaDoos. There are 2 modes; Circuit and Slalom, each divided into 550cc, 650cc, and 800cc. There is also practice mode, and a multiplayer mode (basicly coop). Not much else to this game. Graphics: 4 Gameplay: 1 (no plot, period) Gamer Level: Novice Overall: 2 Price: a couple $ Status: Dont Bother |
