Through the encouragement of my best friend, Joe, I joined the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI Libya Cell Group. Since then, God has done marvelous things in my life.

In January 1998, my employer's wife called me up from London telling me that my boss had been admitted in a hospital and would undergo an operation the following day. She asked me to pray for him because he was in a critical condition. Joe and I informed our cell group coordinator of the problem after our regular prayer-meeting. Holding our hands together, we prayed fervently for the success of my employer's operation. Thanks to El Shaddai, He answered our prayers!

My parents have different religion. My mother was an Anglican and my father was a Mormon. I grew up not knowing much about God. I refused all religious teachings and said many bad things about the Bible.

In 1989, I started communicating with a Filipina working in Hong Kong. She is a devoted Catholic and she told me how great God was and how happy she was in believing and serving Him. In 1991, I attended a fellowship of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI in Toronto, with a friend. It was a great shock to me! It seemed that I had gotten involved with a group of fanatics, singing and dancing and claiming that everything that had happened to them was the work of God. On January 12, 1992, I again participated in the fellowship and stayed through the entire service of it. That day, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. I wept for joy, because I was relieved of all my troubles and the conflicting emotions I was experiencing at that time. Then, I realized that I had been wrong all my life. After that, I dedicated myself to learning more and serving El Shaddai with all my heart and mind. Since then, I have been truly blessed by El Shaddai. I became permanent in my job. God granted my prayer when I got married to my Filipina friend in Manila in May 1993. Thanks be to God!

I have an alcoholic stepfather who hated me since my childhood. My mother was so unhappy that she committed suicide. I was so deeply frustrated with life that I was always sick and had chronic migraine. I kept all my problems within myself. I became a hypochondriac and doctors could not even help me. I got married, but after three years, my wife died in a car accident. It was a traumatic experience for me. I left my country and travelled for several years in Asia. I stayed in India to find peace and health. Then, I came to Hong Kong and started a business with a German partner.

Invited by a prayer-partner, I joined an El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI Charismatic Mass at Caritas. I was surprised at the excitement, the positive energy, and the joy of those who attended the affair. I had never experienced this in Europe, though I was a Catholic, for I seldom went to church. I always cry in sorrow when one of my relatives dies, but in the El Shaddai Mass, I cry for joy.

On November 24, 1991, I attended the Third Anniversary celebration of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI Hong Kong Chapter at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, and it was fantastic! There was an exuberant, high, positive energy, with so much love and warmth that touched the heart of everyone in the stadium. My German friend who participated in the celebration told me, "If we tell this to our friends in Europe, they will not believe us."

In February 1992, I had the opportunity to attend the DWXI-PPFI Family Appointment with El Shaddai at the PICC-CCP Grounds in the Philippines. Brother Mike spoke in Filipino, which I could not understand, but the Spirit moved in me so much that I felt God's love and I cried for joy. After some time, my emotional condition greatly improved. Now, I am more optimistic and full of confidence. The universal love and the joy of the Holy Spirit has helped me a lot, with the support of the community of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI in Hong Kong. The Lord Jesus Christ is working miracles in my life now! Thank You, El Shaddai!
