Rolls Royce 10hp
Blueprint
The story about Rolls Royce is indeed a remarkable one and Rolls Royce is probably the most celebrated marquee. This was the first of the outstanding cars made by Rolls Royce. During 1904 and 1905 20 of these were made.

The story about Rolls Royce begins in 1902 when Royce got a second-hand Decauville. It arrived by train and refused to start when it was unloaded. After trying to make the French car work Royce set about designing a better car. At that time there were almost no car manufacturers in England. Royce was a perfectionist and later became the best engine designer the World has seen. By 1904 three 10hp cars were finished and they attracted the attention of Rolls.

Rolls has gotten his first car in 1896 and had won several races and trials. In 1902 he went into business as a motor agent selling French Panhards later adding Belgian Minervas. He continued to compete in races while looking for a decent British built car to sell. Rolls met with Royce in May 1904 and immediately recognized the fine quality of the three Royce cars. And thus Rolls Royce was born.

I was looking through a book when I saw a picture of this first production Rolls Royce. I made a quick drawing and when I got home it was completed within two hours. It is also possible to build it in black, blue, green, red and yellow.

The original...
Notice the large horn at the side of the car. The large "artillery" wooden spoke wheels used at that time often had more spkes at the rear wheels.

The horn has been rearranged and the spare tire is lacking. her
