I'm currently trying to build an AIM bot with PERL on Mac OSX. The code seems easy enough, but I can't figure out how to invoke the perl script (ie, execute the damn thing). If you know, let me know. Otherwise, I'm following basic tutorials on sites like www.wiredbots.com.
For work: I will be coding a Java front end to ArcGIS - an advanced digital map editting and accessing program. Which is really cool and is something I've never done before.
But the real excitement is my work on the Honour Code Base for A World Assunder. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am coding a mud! We're coding in Java 1.3 so that should be fun, plus a huge learning experiance. I'm working with Jeff Bester, from Georgia Institute of Technology, and he knows so much!
