  • Destiny. Is it a word that strikes up the images of entrapement and a cage of celestial bars within your mind, or perhaps tales of something greater, reaching out to the golden sunrise? A destiny, as something special, made just for you.

I don't really believe it to be either of these completely - nor do I infact call it destiny. It took many years to figure out just what I truely felt to be real, and true about our world. In the end when the day is over, my heart tells me that there is a greater plan out there for every living soul (whether Human or Otherkin) and a loving hand that helps to guide us along it, though we are blind to its touch. As previously commented, I do not believe that God wishes to reward us for our good deeds or punish us for our misdeeds. It is not as simple as that - IMO, life is a pathway that we are always treading - always walking along. The things that we experiance we face so that we might grow from them. So that we might learn and become stronger, more whole spirits. Some people i've often seen and heard them talk about the recurring problems or trials that they face. Like a nightmare, the scene replays before them leaving them unable to do much to stop it.

Commonly, people complain about falling for the same kind of person over and over - the wrong kind of person. Well, also like a recurring dream, perhaps there is something deeper behind these experiances that is being missed. A nightmare shall recure to us, till the problem spurring its appearance in our dreams has been remedied. This is just a general psychological fact. Similarly, destiny wishes us to recognize some facet perhaps of ourselves, or the world, that we continuely choose to ignore. When something bad happens in our lives that perhaps makes us question faith, wondering "Why me?", it occured to me long ago that perhaps it wasn't a punishment or meant to be a slap in the face. I had to ask myself "What is God trying to teach me through this?" How is he attempting to push me beyond my limit, perhaps to something more then I am? This wasn't some divine revelation. I was told once by a man to thank the Spirit for all that happens that is good and right, not asking for it but knowing full in my heart that it will happen. These truthful words spurred me onto a longer path of soul searching and questions.

This to me is the purpose for our constant incarnations upon Earth...we are all souls seeking perfection and unity with the world and the divine qualities such as happiness, peace and contentment. This is not a fluff comment. What person doesn't seek some form of happiness in their lives? It is the subconcsious thought that pushes us on forward towards the things that make us happy, and the things that make us feel whole. When we have reached the end of our road though, and all our lessons have been learned and absorbed into our souls, we shall return to the Source from whence we came, realizing a forgotten wholeness that we only dream of.
