This is my story...this is my revelation... to the world...
It is said in many places and beliefs that there exists in the world 7 Heavens and Seven Hells. This is a more widespread taking i've found, though there are a number of people everywhere who believe there to be just one Heaven and Hell, or even several hundred of each. The focus of this page however is to talk a bit about my own impressions of just what is the nature of Heaven and Hell. In all my beliefs, I have to put to use my heart and intuition, as they are the best advisors I could ever ask for and have never failed me yet. The general belief of Heaven and Hell is based upon a simple system of reward and punishment: if you are good and obey God's laws, then you get to go to Heaven, but if you are a naugthy little mortal you shall be punished by your soul being sent for eternal torture in Hell. This is one reason that I never could quite align myself with any Church or religious insitution before - I could never believe fully that God would wish us to have such a narrow pathway in our lives, or that he would punish his beloved creations so. There was also the matter of predestination - some will say that all that we do is willed by God, while another faction that says we have free will, which means that God cannot control our actions. Frankly, my heart always told me that predestination was true and it was something I had to believe in. Yet does this mean that everyone who goes to Hell, does so because God wishes it so before their very creation? No. Upon later reflections and debates over the issues, I came across a very minority opinion that (like many things in the Bible could very well be) Heaven and Hell were metaphorical descriptions of how close our souls are to God, not after death but now! To be unforgiving, hateful, or cruel to other people places your soul within a dark place, a prison of negative and destructive feelings. This in everyway possible, I believe is the same as residing within Hell. Like God, Hell is a dark pit of Shadows that resides at the back of our souls, a trap we ourselves "fall" into through our misdeeds and misgivings. As a parallel idea, Heaven is the state of being good, kind and forgiving - a pure or goodly Soul who has known both good and evil, and chosen the path of rightiousness. To reside in Heaven means to be close to God in your soul and to resonate his compassion and love. When the day of Judgement comes and the days of toiling the Earth are over, perhaps it shall mean we have had our last chance. That which we find ourselves, is the place that we have chosen to reside, whether it be close to God's light and all his qualities or not. In simple terms whether it means to love, or to hate. Angels, being emanations of the divine Light and Love, are created already existing within the state of Heaven, already possessing those Divine qualities that Humans (of Adam and Eve) must strive and "work" for within the state of Adamah (Earth). (See Chapter 29 of Ain Soph: The Unknown God for more information) In my belief structure there is no room for punishment or reward, as we are responsible for our own futures - we possess our free will, that which alows us to move either closer or farther from God and his state of heavenly Grace. |
