Sarah "S-Diddy" Tyrrell

Like I always say, tuna is the spice of life

BACKGROUND

Denise drafted her profile first so I've decided to follow her clever format. First, however, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our corner of the Internet. When you're looking around the site, please keep in mind that it's been built with care and completely from scratch–no Web pros here, just a couple of small-time communicators with some extra time on their hands. Think of it (as I like to) as a simple means for creative release.

I hope you can take it all in, snicker here and there, burst out in uncontrollable laughter at one point or another and above all - tolerate this amateur attempt at HTML construction.

Sarah, S-Diddy, Little S, Shorty, etc...

Disclaimer: I did not come up with all of the questions you are about to read, some may be ridiculous.

What's your full name?
Sarah Jane Elizabeth Tyrrell.

What's your favourite past time(s)?
I like pretty much everything: movies, books, board games, sports of all kinds (i.e. football), weight lifting, blending and much more. I've recently taken up Toastmastering and tend to gravitate towards geeky past times whenever possible.

Who is your favourite Fraggle?
A moment for Fraggle Rock. What a wonderful, classic CBC program - hats off to Mr. Henson. If I were to be forced to select just one fraggle, I would have to refuse. It can't be done. I would have to choose the entire "giant hairy family". I remember a certain episode where they become invisible...

If you could be a Superhero, who would you be?
I'd love to be a female Spider Man, or Woman as it were. I'd settle for Tobey McGuire's girlfriend.

What do you want out of life?
What we all want, true happiness. While I'm wishing, I'd also like to feel like I'm making the very most of my life, contributing to my greatest potential.

If you were a kitchen appliance, what would you be?
Blender, hands down. I like to keep things balanced, well mixed.

What are your favourite movies?
All-time favourite: Death to Smoochy. Honourable mentions: Bridget Jones's Diary (playing as I type this); Mary Poppins; The Sound of Music; Love, Actually.

Any hidden talents?
I can make three loops with my tongue.

Which eighties classic most gets your bootie-shakin'?
I seem to recall myself cuttin' a rug at Tauna Munro's 10th (?) birthday party to the Madonna classic, Vogue. A routine that's been repeated on a number of occasions under slightly different circumstances...

Linda's Wedding My oldest childhood friend Melinda Power was married in June of 2002. I was delighted to be a bridesmaid at what was a beautiful wedding. This particular picture was taken in the front yard of the Power's home in Lake Echo before the ceremony.
Prom I love my mom. Here we are at the Public Gardens in Halifax before my high school prom. It's one of my favourite pictures of the two of us. Mom claims she never takes good pictures, but I don't believe her.
The Ovens When I was younger mom, Andrew and I went on a mini vacation with my godparents, David and Marie MacSwain, who are the greatest people in the world :-)
Leaves! My brother Andrew was - I'll admit it - a much cuter child than I was. However, this picture in the leaves at Grandma's house seems to be fairly equal. (Of course you can't see my face...)
Prom My prom was wonderful. Chris was kind enough to join me, despite the fact that prom is his idea of hell: dressing up, having your picture taken, dancing, etc. What a sport, he even danced with me (earning some serious points).
Prom '98 I also had a wonderful time with my friend Ryan at his prom in '98. He was a great date, and what a cutie :-)
What's that? What's that? Over there?? A random shot of Lori and me on a Toronto street. Somehow, we have a number of pictures with this pose. It's a favourite of mine.
Brad 'n the gals This is also from our prom. B-Tulk is the lucky gentleman in the centre of all those fine ladies.
Tiny Tots This is going back a few years! Can you pick me out at Tiny Tots? It was a pre-school program at the old Lake Echo Community Centre. Few people know this, but I received my very first cheek kiss from a real, live boy at Tiny Tots. Very romantic!
War Canoe This is our Junior Ladies War Canoe of 2000(?). That's me first on the right - favourite position.
