DAY 5
The rooster continued its daily routine of waking us up at the wrong hours. It was definitely a candid sight with our akin obligation - to have "fresh" chicken meat for breakfast.
Regardless of that, everyone was punctual for the debrief. We were all delighted and
proud of with our accomplishment and everyone was equally anxious to know what has been in
stored for the rest of the day.
Mr
Otto started the roll and gave a speech, followed by Anthony and Jack. The group
leaders were called on next to express their feelings and outlook of the 2-day piping
project. From the leaders' speech, we can deeply feel their
The teachers then expressed their views. In
particular, Mdm Leow articulated on the success of the water piping, describing the sound
of water coming down the pipe to the tank as music to ears. Her words made emotions got
the better of her and we were also enlightened by the fact that we all had became stronger
individuals both mentally and physically. This experience will be rooted deeply and
vividly in our hearts and minds, reminding us of our strengths, so that we will bravely
face the many challenges ahead.
"Fun"
was the theme of the day and it commenced with a boat ride on the Mae Kok River. The
morning mist added to the scenic views of mountains, hills and farms. The cool
gentle breeze accompanied us through the journey which displayed some of the river
features mentioned in our textbooks.
Our next stop was the orange plantation. The aroma of the oranges was very inviting and we could not wait to get ourselves some freshly-squeezed orange juice . After taking some pictures in the orchard, we rushed to the fruit stalls. The teachers went on a "orange shopping spree" buying cartons and cartons of oranges which they cannot carry themselves.
Back at the resort, we had a quick lunch as the enthusiasm to go shopping grew. Given 2 hours for shopping, it was not enough, but we did burn holes in our pockets. It was definitely funny to see everyone struggling to walk properly with both of their hands full with shopping bags.
Strange enough, we had a barbeque dinner which we didn't have to barbeque. Music, chatters and joy filled the air. But sadly, that was the last dinner we were going to have at the resort.
After
dinner, everyone gathered round the fire. Mr Otto, Mr Antony and Mr Tor presented
certificates to everyone of us. Rewards had never been sweeter before.
We challenged our physical abilities once more and
tried rock-climbing. Surprisingly, Mdm Leow was able to complete quite a fair amount of

of the massive cheering and support shown. We wished the night would never end......
