After
months of hard work and planning, the departure date for the Northern Thailand Trip
finally arrived. The Geographical Information System (GIS) members reported at
Woodlands Secondary School at 0900hrs. The group of 30 students were excited and
eager to embark on the journey to meet the challenges that has long awaited us¡¡¡¡
Day 1
The
30 enthusiastic GIS members were divided into two buses, which brought us to the airport
at 1030hrs. When we reached the airport, we hurriedly gathered our bulky luggage at
the check-in area, then assembled to collect our boarding pass from our travel guide, Mr
Louis.
We
looked forward to the many adventures which was lying ahead of us. We felt robust
and elated. Upon reaching Bangkok, we were relieved to see that the Thais were
friendly people. It heightened our zeal towards the new adventures.
After
setting foot on the Chiang Rai International Airport, the sense of adventure began to
beckon on us. We loaded our luggage onto the vehicles. While in the van, we began to
wonder about the distant resort which is one and a half hours away from us.
