Day 6
Today is the last day of our trip and also the day of farewells.
We all had tons of mixed feelings all bottled in us, perhaps, silence is the best way to
express it.
We were all forced to wake up, not by the rooster, but by Mr Ng. After a scrumptious
breakfast, we bid our final farewells to Anthony and Jack. We knew that we were not going
to get much of a chance to meet them again, the thoughts of these made us think back to
the times when we were working together.
Mr Otto and Mr Tor accompanied us on the one and a half hour car ride to the airport. Most of us made use of the time to catch some brief naps. By 0845 hrs, we had reached Chiang Rai International Airport. We bidded our deepest gratitude and farewell to Mr Otto and Mr Tor, who had been helping us tremendously over the past 5 days.
On
the flight back to our beloved homeland, everyone tried to get some sleep again, but deep
in our own hearts, we knew that we just couldn't sleep. The thoughts and images of the
past 5 days reappeared in
Finally! We are back in Singapore! Our friends and relatives are all anxiously
waiting for us at the airport. Upon checking out, we hurriedly said goodbye to one
another; all brave warriors that had fought through so many obstacles together over the
days.
In a blink of the eye, the six days had past us by. All of us were overwhelmed with great sense of achievement. The experiences and images of all our students fighting bravely against the terrain, against the midday heat and sometimes, fighting against our own courage will remain with us. Everyone of us now believes that the mission is not as impossible as it had seemed, for we are convinced, that "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!"
