SGT. LOREN JAMES JANECZKO, U.S. ARMY 3. +
PFC CHRISTOPHER RYAN WILLIAMS, USMC 4. + 2nd Lt. DAMON DAMONTCE VALLIAN, USAF
AR MICHELE ANGELINE PURCELL,
USA (October 19, 1984 - February 17, 2003) SGT. LOREN JAMES JANECZKO,
USA (Aug. 6, 1972 - Oct. 12, 2001) On Sept. 12, 2001, Loren Janeczko, like every other man, woman and child in the United States, awoke to a world that had become threatening to the United States of America. He, like many Patriotic young men, decided to put his life on hald and returned to 'active service in the Army. On Oct. 12, 2001, one short month after putting
his life ‘on hold’, Sgt. Loren Janeczko was killed in a "shoot out"
with the New Jersey State Police. According to media reports, he was
supposed to have "flipped out" and started shooting people, wounding
two fellow soldiers on the Ft. Dix Army base, fleeing in a vehicle, and
then wounding two New Jersey police officers, and taking a hostage before
he was shot and killed by police. According to the story, the hostage got away
when Loren's gun jammed and Loren was then killed by a member of
the New Jersey State Police. In a brief sentence, within the Army CID
report, it is revealed that NO HOSTAGE WAS EVER TAKEN. This was confirmed
on the telephone by a CID officer. Both the FBI and CID reports refer to the
fact that Loren made an allegation of sexual assault against soldiers
in his sleeping quarters four days before he was killed. The reports
state that the Department of Defense Police on Ft. Dix were investigating
the matter. He was placed in a private room for his own safety and security. On October 12, 2001, his commanding officer
decided to interrogate him in her office for what was described,
by a DOD officer's statement to the CID, as a prolonged period of time.
He was not allowed to make any arguments in his own defense and became
increasingly stressed, as he watched the accused soldiers walking freely
near the office and speaking to one another. At this point, according to the report, his
commanding officer decided to search his room and locker. He was
ordered to lay out his possessions on the bed. Reportedly, rolled
up inside a "dirty T-shirt" was a gun and ammunition. Strangely, the
‘statement’ of the DOD Police Officer In Charge (OIC), for that day’s
shift, states: “...had been searching SGT JANECZKO’s wall locker and
as he had removed some items, some ammunition had fallen on the table.”
Note that the OIC made no mention of a GUN! His commanding officer, by her own statement,
corroborated by other statements, said, "Now we've got you, buddy!
You are going to jail." She then left Loren in the room with two other
soldiers and events proceeded. When the DOD police were called and asked
for a copy of their investigation into the allegation of sexual assault,
their first response was that there was no report of any allegation or investigation.
After the JAG and Inspector General were contacted, the chief of
the DOD Police stated that there was, indeed, an investigation report.
He supplied the case number and said that it would be supplied to the
family. Two weeks after that conversation, a person in the DOD Police
office stated that the report would be delayed because the "legal department"
was reviewing the report. A month after the request was made, another
fragmentary and incomplete report was received. The summary states that
the matter would be handled by the Unit Commander, however, a DOD police
officer's statement claimed that the sexual assault investigation was ongoing
at the time of the Commander's "interrogation". The CID report also states that the investigation
was jointly handled with the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice.
They house exhibit 16, which includes the total summary of the investigation,
all crime scene photos and evidence. The New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice
states that they are not subject to the Freedom of Information Act
and that they will not give up any or all of their investigation reports.
New Jersey has an Open Records Law and a Government Records Council,
which has the power to help people get such information. At present,
all requests for investigation reports have been denied and appealed. A Congressional Inquiry has recently been
initiated, at the request of his family, into why, seventeen months
after Loren's death, a Line-of-Duty Investigation has still not been
done. This Situation is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

2ND LT. DAMON DAMONTCE VALLIAN, USAF (Nov. 26, 1973 - Aug. 26, 2002) In August of 2002, Damon Damontce Vallian was attending Officer Training School (OTS) at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi, slated to graduate with his class on September 6, 2002. When ‘Graduation Day’ arrived, Damon was not with his classmates Instead, 2nd Lt. Damon Damontce Vallian was ‘home’...buried in a grave. Damon Damontce was the first born of six children in the Vallian family. Though each child in the Vallian home is considered “special”, it’s an accepted fact that each is different. Damon’s mother, Jane, proudly notes, “I had no problems with him growing up”...as a child and as an adult, Damon fit into the ‘easy to get along with’ category. On August 25, 2002, Jane Vallian spoke with her son, Damon, for what was to be the last time. Damon was “excited” because he had gotten ‘leave’ for a couple of days and his graduation from OTS was just a week away. Damon told his mother that he’d be ‘home', late on Thursday night and eerily, the young man, who always kept his word, was there, late Thursday night...laid out in a coffin. On August 26, 2002, Jane received a call from the Pastor of Damon’s wife, a member of the US Army...serving at her ‘duty station’ in Oklahoma, who had something to tell her. Jane’s daughter-in-law came to the phone and said, “Mom there has been an accident...they had to pull Damon from the bottom of the swimming pool and it doesn’t look good!” Damon’s father, Issac, called the Keesler Air Force Base hospital. The only thing that the doctor was able to tell him was that Damon had arrived there in an unresponsive state, had remained unresponsive and was dead. All Jane could think or say was...”Oh, No! Not Damon! Not my baby!” The Vallian family was told that Damon’s death was an ‘accidental’ drowning. The preliminary report notes that he had been swimming in the base pool and that is about the only statement in the report that no one is questioning. Damon Damontce Vallian, just 28 years old, was physically fit and rated as a strong swimmer. Needless to say, the family has a few questions about the claim that he simply slipped under the water and drown??? Damon’s family finds it a ‘bit’ curious that the report of their son’s death contains statements from two (different) people, claiming to be the ‘one’ who retrieved Damon’s body from the bottom of the pool??? Strange ‘questions’??? Well the family has a few more, like: - what caused the ‘red circle’ on Damon’s forehead? - how did he get a ‘black eye’ and a ‘busted lip’? - what happened, in that pool, that left Damon with four fractured ribs, on each side of his ribcage, and a fractured sternum??? Jane Vallian wants to know what happened to her son. She doubts what she’s been told because, as she says, “I know water can not cause this much damage.” This Situation is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION! If you have any comments, questions or words of encouragement, you can contact Damon’s mother, Jane, at: jane.vallian@sbcglobal.net A THOUGHT TO PONDER:
What a stupendous, what an incomprehensible
machine is man! Who can endure toil, famine, stripes, imprisonment &
death itself in vindication of his own liberty, and the next moment ... inflict
on his fellow men a bondage, one hour of which is fraught with more misery
than ages of that which he rose in rebellion to oppose.
