HONOR ROLL!

WELCOME! We are happy that you, our guest, have come this far into our site. We hope that you aren't having any trouble with the construction. If you did...please...take a moment and let us know, we'd greatly appreciate it.

If this is your first visit to this section, we hope you find it interesting and thought provoking. If you have been here before, we hope you like the changes as we are very excited by them.

Now...be honest! When you hear the words: "Honor Roll", do you think of anything more than a 'list' of names? Well, the "People", whose names are listed on MAMMA's Honor Roll, were very real and very "Special"! (Can you think of another word that better describes men and women, who were willing to GIVE their all, in serving our country and protecting us and instead were sent home in a bag...STRIPPED of even their basic dignity?)

If you know of anyone who should be included on this Honor Roll...have them contact MAMMA and we'll make arrangements

We want this section of our site to Honor the memory of 'a growing number of these 'Special People' and to Salute their families! Therefore, we have devided the section into three parts: the Honor Roll, the Honor Roll Situations and the Honor Roll Gallery.

Currently, you are in the part of this section that's labeled the Honor Roll. Following a "brief" (a term that is open to interpretation around here *smile*) introduction, you will find the traditional, though definitely incomplete, Honor Roll *list* of names of some very fine men and women whose lives were cut short while serving in our military. The Addendum, at the bottom of the list, is very special. MAMMA takes great pride in adding the names of these 'Special' men and women because their deaths are being questioned by their comrades in arms, rather than by a family member, who, by "official" accounts, is "just in denial". Following that "list", you will find a second list that is labeled, "Honorable Mention". The 'Honorable Mention' list is a listing of 77 names of active duty service members, who were shipped home in bodybags from Okinawa, Japan in a seven year time span that started in 1992. Three of those names are also listed on our Honor Roll and if you recognize any of the other names and have reason to believe that they belong on the Honor Roll...please contact us and let us know.

On the Navigational Bar, at the left of this page, are the 'links' for the individual  "Situations" pages. These will take you to the Honor Roll Situations part of this section where you'll find highlights of some of the questionable situations that surround the deaths of our Honor Roll members. After reading a few, you will quickly realize that highlighting these situations takes time. Currently, only the names with a * in front of them on the Honor Roll are available for review. As every one of our Honor Roll members is worth the effort of highlighting their situation...this section will be SLOW to develop. We hope you'll come back often and DO let others know about this 'Special' Honor Roll!

Also on the Navigational Bar, is the label: "Gallery". This will take you to a BEAUTIFUL site that was set up by a lovely and talented lady named, Patti. MAMMA has, for a long time, wanted to put a FACE to the waste that has come from so many lives being cut short. Thanks to Patti...you can now see pictures of the REAL PEOPLE that we are so proud to Honor. If there is a + sign by a name in the Situation part, there is a picture of that person in the Honor Roll Gallery. This part too, will be slow in developing...come back often and Praise the Lord, if the newest picture added isn't someone you know.

There are numerous problems that stem from 'manner of death' rulings that are questionable and being disputed by family members of the deceased. For whatever reason, when the terms; "Questionable" and ìdisputed" are used in the same sentence as 'manner of death' ruling, the word "Murder" is soon to follow. That type of distortion and misconception can be difficult to sort through and like everything else, when it concerns the military, such a difficulty is magnified.

When a military family is notified that their loved one has died, dazed...they are walked through a maze of 'procedures (AKA red tape). There is a flurry of activity in paying attention to every little detail involved with a funeral and a burial, but as soon as the body is in the ground...every one just disappears and the family is like: "WHAT HAPPENED?" The response...."You'll get a report."

Every grieving family has the right to know exactly what caused the death of their loved one. When the "report" comes, if it reads like a 'STORY' that would rival a 'Fairy Tale', or is full of blatant lies...you'd best be believing that the family will 'dispute' that ruling! Alarmingly, the number of such disputes is growing!

Does that mean that every family starts thinking their loved one was murdered? Definitely NOT! Fatal accidents DO happen. Depressed people DO commit suicide. So why would anyone dispute a death that has been ruled as an 'accident'? Some of these rulings are disputed by the family because there is reason to believe that the accident was preventable...in addition to accountability for their loved one, these families are demanding that steps be taken to insure that such 'accidents' never take another life!

Question: Have you ever had the feeling that you'd been hit by a truck and wondered if anyone had managed to get the vehicle's plate number?

Well...in this section of our site, you will be introduced...figuratively speaking...to families that have literally been run down! With a courage and fortitude, many hadn't realized they possessed and wracked with pain, they managed to reach out and yank the plate off the hit and run vehicle as it fled the scene. Amazingly, every one of these Government Issued Plates bore the 'vanity' name: MILITARY!

As you visit MAMMA's Honor Roll pages.....it would be a good thing if you'd take a moment and reflect on the 'simplicity' of this entire issue. As with any issue, this one has two sides:

On one side....there is a growing number of patriotic families, much like your own, who having suffered through the death of a loved one and want to get on with their lives. They can not move on if this 'chapter' of their life isn't honestly resolved. Thus, they expect, and quite frankly deserve, a true accounting of and appropriate resolution of the circumstances involved with their loved one's death.

On the other side....there is the military, in conjunction with the Department of Defense (DoD). Are you familiar with the concept of the 'downside' of organizations that are SELF-regulating? Simply put...such organizations never do anything that is wrong or would require accountability - just ask them! Or put another way...it's like putting the fox in charge of the hen house!

Should any of our visitors find themselves asking if there isn't some middle ground and have any ideas for getting an independent Senatorial commission started....we would love to hear from you!
