Skyline: The lift travels up the Seattle Space Needle.Plot: Niles arrives to meet Frasier with a great idea - what if the Crane brothers made an investment into a new shopping mall being planned by a company called Meadow Wood Properties? Although reluctant at first, Frasier eventually agrees. Martin then arrives and invites his sons to Duke's, his favourite bar. Frasier and Niles are surprised - not even Hester was allowed in Duke's and she could be "quite the old rummy". They accept and Martin proudly takes them there. Frasier and Niles actually have a good time until Martin makes a speech attacking Meadow Wood Properties - it turns out Duke's is being knocked down to make way for the mall Frasier and Niles have invested in!!! Frasier decides to tell Martin, and finds him in Duke's hours before its knocked down. The two men have a chat and understand more about each other, such as Martin's acceptance of change. Frasier says though that he will do something to help out the Duke's crowd, unlike Niles who plans a one man protest - until he sees the bulldozers..... Subtitles: Scent Of A Woman; Where Nobody Knows Their Name; Sleepless In Seattle (You Know We Had To Do It Eventually). It's Maris!!!: When Martin introduces Niles, he refers to Maris as "He married money!!!" Roz loves..... the guy who she cheated on when he was supposed to be in Portland. But he returned early..... Martin knows..... Duke, Leo and Mickey Dougan, who played a part in Martin's bad joke about bringing his police horse into Duke's. Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Mentions of Lilith as Frasier discovers Martin has told all his friends about their break-up, and an indirect mention of the Cheers bar. Trivia: First appearances of Duke and Leo. Mention of Hester Crane. Also the first Frasier episode I saw. |
