Skyline: Nothing happens.Plot: Frasier and Niles' Great Aunt Louise, an unpleasant old woman, has passed away and the Crane brothers have jobs to do for her funeral. Frasier has to give an eulogy, and Niles has to determine where her ashes should go - neither an easy task. Martin starts talking about Louise's many wasted opportunities and missed chances, and is exposed by Daphne as also having a missed opportunity. Martin had dreamed of writing a song for Frank Sinatra, but had never had the courage to send one off. That, and they were never finished….. Now his secret has been revealed, Frasier and Niles help him complete the song, and "She's Such A Groovy Lady" is completed (with music by Drs Frasier and Niles Crane). Martin posts it to Sinatra The day of the funeral arrives and Frasier still hasn't managed to come up with an eulogy. He looks through an old photo album for inspiration and notices a picture of Louise at Wilson's Meadow, where she made young Niles climb up a tree to get his kite down and laughed when he fell out and broke his collarbone. Niles decides to put her ashes there as it is the only place he saw her laugh. While Niles tries to do this (he can't get the lid off the urn), Martin tells Frasier that his song was rejected. Frasier still has to think of an eulogy, and quickly!!! But he has a last minute idea, which finds Martin's song being played in public as a tribute to Louise. Subtitles: In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning; Try Holding it Under Some Hot Running Water. It's Maris!!!: Maris is hosting her book club, and the women feel uncomfortable with Niles around. Therefore he has to go….. Trivia: First episode this season where nothing happens with the skyline. Mention of Grampa Moon and Daphne's brothers. |
