Plot: Roz's mother, Joanna, is in town and Roz wants a few hours to herself during the visit. Frasier thinks Martin is in a dating rut since breaking up with Sherry and then hits on a solution - how about they set up Martin and Joanna at McGinty's?
They do so, and Frasier and Roz think their parents have no idea about the set-up (they do though!!!). When Martin comes home from the date he says Joanna was very boring and he doesn't want to see her again. Joanna however liked Martin and wants him to call her.
Frasier knows he should tell Roz and Joanna, but can't bring himself to do so. Joanna is invited to the Super Bowl on Sunday, and Frasier tells Martin 5 minutes before she arrives. However, Martin has invited Bonnie, a waitress at McGinty's!!! And the Doyles will be arriving any minute.....
Subtitles: Aka The Last Onion Out Of Pompeii; Roughing The Passer.
Trivia: Mention of
Sherry, as Frasier tells Roz Martin hasn't dated since breaking up with Sherry. Bonnie makes her first appearance. At McGinty's, it appears that Martin talks about Frasier a lot, but not about Niles, as Bonnie thinks Niles is Frasier's friend and Frasier's brother is called Eddie!!! Niles also has a nickname at the Shangri-La - the "Coyote". It evolved from Niles, to Niley, to Nile E Coyote (as in Wile E Coyote from Looney Tunes), to the Coyote.Read the script of this episode at
