Skyline: A rain-cloud passes over the city.Plot: After Frasier's show finishes, Roz tells him a Blaine Sternin has called. Frasier is horrified - Blaine is Lilith's half brother, and a con man whose scams Frasier has fell for many times in the past. And Blaine is in Seattle. Frasier doesn't want to see him, but hears from the doorman that Blaine has found out where he lives and is coming up to see him. When Blaine arrives, Frasier discovers that his former brother in law is now in a wheelchair. Blaine tells Frasier that he's changed. He was paralysed in a car accident (thus the wheelchair) and claims he's become a Christian preacher. Although Martin, Niles and Daphne believe him, Frasier isn't so sure. Frasier decides to phone Blaine's doctor to see if Blaine is telling the truth. When the Dr Kagen is "too busy" to answer the phone 6 times in a row, Frasier is convinced that Blaine is a fraud. He goes down to one of Blaine's preaching sessions determined to prove for once and for all that Blaine is a con. But is he? Subtitles: That's How They Talk In Sweden. Roz loves..... the preacher at her first job in a radio station in Wisconsin. After the preacher's show ended on Sundays he would "save her soul"..... Where Everybody Knows Your Name: A mention of Lilith, as Frasier phones her to se if Blaine is telling the truth. Lilith doesn't know but hopes he is!!! Frasier mentions many of Blaine's previous scams which may have occurred during Frasier's time in Boston. Trivia: First they did it with Frasier, now Lilith - given the character a brother a few years after the character has been created (Niles and Blaine). As far as I know, Blaine was never mentioned on Cheers, but then again neither was Niles. Frasier knows a Dr Kagen, he was Dr Stephen Kagen in Ep 84 "Death & The Dog". |
