Skyline: Fireworks explode over the skyline.Plot: Niles and Daphne have eloped to Reno and have gotten married! They return to Seattle and can't wait to tell the others their news, but just before they can Frasier and Martin say that they're glad the couple haven't wed, since they would hate to miss it! Niles and Daphne hide their wedding rings and say they're getting married in 3 days time! On the day of the "wedding" (a civil ceremony at the courthouse) Mrs Moon learns they are not getting married in a church and refuses to attend. Daphne and Niles decide to get "married" anyway and Frasier and Martin happily watch the ceremony. Back home, Mrs Moon says sorry and that she doesn't mind where they get married, as long as she is there to see it. This means another fake ceremony, and back at the courthouse they meet Donny and his new fiancée, Bridget! Donny and Bridget go to the Crane wedding, where because he has said the vows so many times he makes mistakes with them. Donny thinks they are breaking up, much to his delight and says that no woman will ever replace Daphne, much to Bridget's horror. The truth finally comes out and after everyone gets cross with the couple, Martin asks them why, a week after their wedding, they aren't on their honeymoon. The happy couple head off to Bora Bora... Subtitles: Blame It On Reno. Trivia: This is it, the wedding episode fans have been waiting for since the beginning of the show! Ashley Thomas returns as Alice, and Saul Rubinek returns as Donny Douglas, Daphne's ex fiancé. He is now divorced/widowed from Nancy (see Ep 170 "Legal Tender Love And Care"). An indirect mention of Daphne's brothers, although there is no mention of Harry Moon at all, he must have gone home before Daphne went to Reno. Sam Johnson, who plays the Reno Officiant, is one of the Frasier writers in a cameo role. And Daphne finally calls Frasier and Martin by their first names! |
