This
is my favorite line in a poem by the American poet Robert Frost.
It is my current mantra, so instead of settling down into a career
after my studies I took off traveling. Travelling for me is to experience
and to live. Experiencing life outside the box and living life fully.
I would never swap my travelling experience with anything, and never
regretted any moment of it all. Finally the yearn to get out there
and explore will never leave me.
Below
is my traveling CV, of where I have been and what I've seen. I have
added a number of travelogue to countries visited, along with photos
to tell the tale. Feel free to click on these links to enjoy the
stories!

Nov
1997 - Feb 1998 @ Australia, Thailand,
Malaysia & Singapore
On
November 1997 I left New Zealand to spend 3 months traveling.
I visited Sydney in Australia before traveling on to Singapore,
and up the west coast of Malaysia, the Island of Borneo and finally
Thailand. It was most enjoyable and the perfect first trip out
alone. Highlights included visiting that iconic Sydney Opera house,
chilling out on the fine sand of Krabi beach, witnessing the terrible
forest fire spreading Sarawak (no thanks to those Indonesia farmers!),
hiking in Mulu National Park and visiting it's giant cave system,
celebrating Chinese New Year in Kuching, bargaining for electronics
in Singapore, and seeing the pride of Malaysia - The tallest tower
in the world *in 1997* - The Twin
Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

Dec
2004 - Jan 2005 @ New Zealand
Yey
back in New Zealand I spent 2 weeks with my mate Lim driving through
the South Island of New Zealand. This trip is a long time due as
I last visited when I was 14! It hasn't change much, the beautiful
mountains, lakes and forests remains. The locals still as friendly
as ever. I also discovered the high standards of our backpackers.
I dare say New Zealand offers the best backpackers in the world!
So for all you outdoor enthusiast and Lord of the Rings nutters,
what are you waiting for?
