I have never gone on a spring break. When I thought about this assignment, I thought I would talk about a vacation I would like to do with my "NET" friends. I would love for us all to get together at a wonderful spa. Maybe up in the Carmel, CA. area. We would have mud baths, massages together. We could sit at dinner for hours and talk and really get to know one another. This isn't a spa to lose weight! No we would be treated like royalty! I could see Darylynn taking us all around to the best restaurants and we would try all the California cuisine. It would be just a fun relaxing vacation for us all. Couldn't you see us doing this and making it an annual event every year, maybe going to a new place each year?

I thought about this assignment and wanted to dedicate it to my grandmother Lucille and my great aunt (her sister) Margaret. These two ladies were so special to me. They are on my mother's side of the family. Both of them were always there for my sister and I no matter what we wanted or needed. I can remember when we were little we would stay with my aunt on Sundays when my mom and dad went to football games. Margie would let us dress up in all her jewelry and play. She always had the neatest earrings! My sister and I would dance around to music from her record player. She never had a problem listening to "our" music. She would always let us have coffee in the morning when we stayed there. Although it would always have more milk than coffee. But we didn't mind. And she made the best "hotcakes" I can ever remember! We would just sit there and eat them with no syrup they were so good! She had a clawfoot tub that we loved to bath in! My grandmother was a special woman too. She moved to Florida early in the 70's and we would go down there in the summer to spend time with her. She would take us swimming everyday and shopping as often as we wanted. I can remember Sunday's at her house for family dinners and she made the best lasagna. She made it with goat cheese instead of Ricotta. It was so good! When she lived in Baltimore she had steps in her house that were hard wood and they shined like glass. My sister and I spent many days sliding down those steps. I miss them so much at times. I can sit and remember things about them and things we did together. They will always be a big part of my life.

Homework assignment for April 15, 2003



I fell in love with the internet one weekend over at my BIL house. He put the pc on for me and I couldn't believe all the places and things I could see! I had to have it! After my 40th birthday we decided to break down and get it. We only had the phone lines then. It wasn't very fast but I loved it. I found a place at the time called Moms On Line. I met alot of nice friends there and they helped me get a little more tech headed. One girl helped me learn HTML somewhat. I was totally hooked. I went out and bought a book on html and I have been going ever since. I love doing the work myself. Sometimes it is a little frustrating when you can't figure something out but there is always someone to help. I started building my web home not too long after that. I still love it and this blogging is something I really enjoy. Now the cameras are my newest passion. I think as long as someone keeps bringing new things out I will be hooked for a long time. I have enjoyed making all the new friends out there and the fact that I can talk to someone on the other side of the world still facinates me!




Homework assignment for April 1, 2003

My most embarrassing moment is probably one time at a place I worked.
I wasn't there that long. I worked out in a trailer and had to go into the main building for everything. I went in one day to use the ladies room. I had a dress on and panty hose. When I came out of the bathroom, a co-worker came up to me and told me that my dress was tucked down into my panty hose! I thought I would die from that! I have no idea who did and didn't see it, but just knowing it happened made me blush! That is the only one I can think of!
