"Welcome to my world"

3/17/98To begin with, I was born in Yuma Arizona. At two weeks of age (I was told), we moved on to another job. Dad was in construction, so I have no real roots. I have been to all 48 states at one time or another and Mexico and Canada.

I am self employed. I have a motorized paper route. What that means is, I get up at 1:00am and drive fifty miles and deliver 359 newspapers to local subscribers, every day of the year with no time off or 'vacation'.

I have taken on a second job. Yea I know too much time on my hands as it was and needed to fill in the space. I now monitor our school buses. That is just a fancy word for babysitting 70+ kids on wheels for 5 hours a day!!Try that one on for size.I love it though.I keep the kids guessing. One day I took Yuma with me another day I carried Blues Clues with me ,on halloween I dressed up as a 'school girl' backpack and all with stuffed toy. The next school day the kids were asking me where is your back pack? I bring treats, hand out good job as they will show me their report cards. With the small ones I will start a sing-a-long or simon says or whisper in their ears to tell the waiting teachers Good Morning as they debus. I even sneak them all to one side of the bus (we have boys sitting one one side and girls on the other) we take turns as to who gets off first. The children love to play jokes like that on the driver. One morning one small boy said I am hungry lets go to Mc D's instead of school . The whole bus was all for it. The job is magic no better reward than to work with children.Best part about it is I can take my little son with me to work each school morning!!

I have eight children, four boys and four girls. I got lucky with an even number of each. I have three online so I can keep in touch with them. Of the eight children, five are here in Texas with me. I still have two children at home, so they have to get in line to get online. If you haven't already, you can link to three of my childrens web pages through my main page. My third son got married on March 14 . The wedding was just grand , everything went off with out a hitch. Well they got hitched , hehe . My Daughter Amanda caught the bride's bouquet , so guess who will be next :) .

My children at home help me with the paper route on the weekends and holidays. I have an 18 year old that goes with me all the time during the week.

I did have an 18 year old at home she turned 19 and moved out on her own up near her father's people. Says she likes it and now she tells me she had made mananger of the store where she works ....Way to go Amanda!!

I decided to homeschool the youngest two this fall, so wish me luck. They are 12 and 6 years old. Well I was talked out of the home schooling for this year anyway. The kids seem to be doing real well in their new school. My son who is 7 now made the honner roll and perfect attendence too. Way to go Robert!! And my teenager has made first chair in band, plus she had a solo in the band this last time. Boy, I am so proud of all of my kids.

My husband drives a big rig (eighteen wheeler). He gets to come home six days a month and with all the stuff that can go wrong while he is gone he stays busy those few days he is in.

Hubby has now come home to say off the road!!Wooohoooo. He got a local job and is home every night.Mama is happy.

We bought a house, several months ago, in town. It is a fixer-upper, and we will be doing most of the work ourselves. After living in the country for so long, then moving into town, we all have had to make alot of adjustments.

I love to putter around in the yard and with my plants. I have two dogs, one is a big white Boxer, that gets mistaken all the time for a Pitt bull becuase of her coloring and the other is a small Malteese.Sad news, my little dog Outlaw died on Dec. 11. He was almost 11 years old. I have several cats, bob tail (minx) mixed, and one cockatiel, named Bud, he is 8 years old. I got a new bird for my birthday and he is a small parrot. I named him/her after my birth place Yuma...just incase I ever find out if Yuma is a he/she...was told that I would need to have a blood test done on Yuma. He was hand fed and very tame. I am working on getting him to say 'Morning Blue' will let you know if and when I ever hear him talk. Any ideas??

Yuma can now say a few words, Damnit Rose is his best one, just like a small child he picks up what you don't want him to repeat!! LOL!!

I love to play NES and Super NES, but haven't had as much time since I have gotten this computer. I always wanted to learn about them and boy, I am learning fast.

I am not sure what else to put up here. If you want to know more and you see me online, just ask :)

        My Hobbies and Interests include:

        Talking Online, Making new friends,
Plants, My pets (birds, cats, dogs)
I also do readings with Tarot cards and Rune Stones. I have been asked to do some reading on line...and I have. It was a little tough but, seemed like it all worked out.

I hope to be adding pictures of my children and grandchildren, soon. Watch for the link! I have four of my Granddaughters up and in the album. The first four girls are my Granddaughters. The second set of children are my youngest children.
