Some basic differences between Christianity and Islam:

Christians Islam
God: There is one God revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Within the one essence are the three persons who are equal and eternal.(2 Corinthians 13 : 14)
God: There is no God but Allah-the God.
Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He paid the price for mans sin on the cross and we may claim this price as paid in our life through faith in Him. (1 John 1 : 1; 1 Corinthians 15 : 3-4; Ephesians 2 :8-9)
Jesus Christ: Christ was a man, a prophet but below Muhammed in importance. Christ didn't die to pay the price for our sins. They say that Judas died on the cross.
Sin: Sin is rebellion against God by doing what He says not to do or by not doing what He says to do.(Romans 3 : 10-18)
Sin: Sin is not doing your religious duties as outlined in "Five Pillars of Faith" and by failing to do Allah's will.
Salvation: Comes through faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God through whom you have forgiveness of your sins through His sacrificial death on the cross. (Romans 3 : 22-25; Hebrews 2 : 9-10)
Salvation: Man earns his own salvation and pays his own price for sin.
