Eby Cemetery is located at Hammer Creek, Warwick Twp., Lancaster
Co., PA.
In 1728 Christian and his wife settled on Hammer Creek in Elizabeth
township
about 3 miles north of Litiz in Lancaster, Pennsylvania .
Mennonite Family History, July 1985, Vol 4, pg 101, picture of
house, mill and
barn, built by Christian Eby: Christian Eby I (1698-1756) son of
Theodorus Eby,
also came with his father to America after marrying Elizabeth Mayer.
They
settled at Hammer Creek and built this house, a mill, and barn. The
house is
standing today and is a very good structure. The first mill and barn
were
destroyed by fire, but the mill was rebuilt. Also pictured Memorial
headstone
for Christain Eby I and son Christian Eby II (1734-1807) married to
Catherine
Bricker, located behind the Christian Eby house.
