Prophets Hadees of Fasting 2
Wa alaikummasalam
Dear Brother
I consider the hadees in the basis of the hadees given below in this subject
عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما:
أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:إنا امة امية لا نكتب ولا نحسب الشهر هكد ا وهكد ، يعني مرة تسعة وعشرين ، ومرة ثلاثين
Rasool (PBUH) says that Ummath is Illiterate, don’t know writing and don’t know calculate. Month will be like this and like this. It means some times 29 and some times 30. ( Saheehul Bukhari)
This was the situation when Rasool taught them. But we are not in that situation. So the Judgment also is different to them and to us.
ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما:
أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (الشهر تسع وعشرون ليلة، فلا تصوموا حتى تروه، فإن غم عليكم فأكملوا العدة ثلاثين).
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar:
Allah's Apostle said, "It is the month 29th night, and do not fast till you know it, and when it is hidden, complete it thirty." (This is the direct translation.)
My explanation of this hadees: I think and believe that He said this hadees in a Shaban month on 29 th night. And in fact that particular month was thirty, there fore he told that when it is hidden (conjunction) complete thirty. Because there is no the word as “Shaban and Can be” in the hadees and Rasool wants to teach them that Hiding is the last of the month. Sky over cast is not only a one day issue but also it can be happen in more days. Then it is difficult to find out which day is 28 or 29. So how did Rasool say this method only for thirty without knowing 28 or 29 if it is a sky over cast?
In fact first visibility does not relate with sky overcast. It is related with the angle of moon and timing of sunset as you know better than me. Allah knows best
You also think without any prejudice. I am not interested in an argument in the subject of hadees. We don’t know the situations and the times and dates when Rasoolullah told these Hadees. The reporting time also very far from the time of Rasool (PBUH).
And Allah did not say that He will protect Hadees same like Qur’an.
You asked me about the rakkath of salath, there are no conflicts in those subjects and it does not make any difficulties to the people to follow it. So why should I think about those things to make fitna?. I tried to learn and think about the calendar because it was my doubts from my childhood and my family was the authority (Quazis) to decide the month of Ramadan and Eid in our place but I could not admit this custom logically even it was done by my grandfathers since that time means 35 years before . These things I have mentioned in my first letter to to the scholar from USA.
Think better, get result.
