PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 2/2002

Subject:      Suspension of EDI System for installation of a New Server- Regarding.

 Attention of all importers/ exporters/ CHAs and trade is invited to the above subject.  The work of installation of a new server is in progress at ICD, Tughlakabad.  For this purpose, the EDI System shall be suspended on 11.01.2002, and if the work is not completed, as per schedule, it will also remain suspended on 14.01.2002.  Trade is advised to file manual Bills of Entry/ Shipping Bills on 11.01.2002 and, if required, on 14.01.2002. RES users may please note that RES facility will not be available from 11.01.2002 to 14.01.2002 and they may file documents in floppies with NIC or at Service Centre.

It is also advised that all efforts to clear pending consignments latest by 10.01.2002 may be made so that the delivery of the consignments is not delayed.
