How to submit your enquiry:

  1. The current status of the Bill of Entry or Shipping Bill can be ascertained by dialing the above Telephone numbers and using the interactive voice response system for keying in any of the following:

    1. Bill of Entry or Shipping Bill number or

    2. Job No given by the Service Center or

    3. Importer-Exporter Code Number or

    4. IGM/EGM Number

  2. The Tele-Enquiry System will inform you about the time and date of filing of the document, assessment of document, examination of document, and time and date of out-of-charge order for the document.

  3. If any query is raised against the document, there is a facility in Tele-Enquiry System to print the query on the fax machine of the person making enquiry using the Fax-On-Demand feature.

  4. If the import document is awaiting payment of customs duty, the Tele-Enquiry System will also inform on telephone the duty amount as also the fine and penalty payable, if any.

  5. The Tele-Enquiry System will inform whether the request for clearance under green channel facility has been accepted or denied.

  6. The Tele-Enquiry System will inform whether the Bill of Entry has been de-activated in the Indian Customs EDI System.

  7. The Tele-Enquiry System will not only provide the status of Prior Bill of Entry but also inform about the mismatch of Airway Bill No, no of packages, gross weight in the manifest with that declared in the Bill of Entry.

  8. The Tele-Enquiry System will inform the date and time of filing of import as well as export manifest in Indian Customs EDI System.

  9. The Tele-Enquiry System will provide information for drawback documents such as amount of drawback sanctioned, drawback amount is sanctioned but withheld, sanctioned but not transferred to bank etc.

  10. The Tele-Enquiry System will also provide information on fax with reference to the Importer-Exporter Code of the person. The information for Bills of Entry / Shipping Bills filed on the day the query is made or the last working day would indicate the Bill of Entry / Shipping Bill Number and Date, Invoice No. and the present status of the document.

  11. The Tele-Enquiry System will provide the information for CIF balance and Duty Credit balance of DEPB script based on DEPB registration number and date in customs computer.

  12. The Tele-Enquiry System will also provide the information whether the IE Code details for the given IEC has been received from DGFT or not.
