06/30/05 ~ Thursday 1:30 pm
Status: Out of it @.@
Finished watching the "Two Towers." It was interesting in that I enjoyed the conversations in the scenes with Merry, Pippin and Treebeard as well as the last scene with Gimli and Legolas. Hilarity ensues. My favorite line:
Legolas: He was twitching.
Gimli (bellows): He was twitching...that's because he has my axe in his nervous system! ^.^
rofl That was too much.... ^-^ This part of LOTR is sort of my fav. Too many nice scenes and funny moments. The extras and new scenes just made it even better.
It's pretty much decided that I'm going to Otakon (yay) ...with my parents. ^^; It's pretty good since my parents will pay for the hotelroom and leave me to my insane fandom. I get a ride and room...what can I say? Thats practically perfect for lazy, financially broke me. ^-^ As said, I'm thinking about making a new costume and I'll be improving on my Kikyo outfit. I need ideas people! What would I look good as? I don't care about gender...if I look good as a guy, I'll be the most bishonen guy there is...though I'm not that pretty.... ^-^;
No YYH yet, and g-mail kicked me off for downloading too much.... Yes, I was downloading RG Veda from my account. Stupid g-mail, just because I click fast doesn't mean I have a download manager or some other crap. :P I'm waiting for my account to reopen so I can finish downloading. (Up to the last volumne....)

06/29/05 ~ Wednesday 3:00 pm
Status: Busy beyond reason
It's almost the end of the month...and I still haven't download YYH scanlations. Can you say disappointed? Not really. I haven't had time to even download RG Veda scans from my e-mail account (since my wonderful supplier and awesome friend-one in the same-e-mailed the entire set to me. ^-^) Also, I've been running around busier then usual. I haven't had time to see any of my buddies...and perhaps they were luckier for not seeing me in my off mood.
I'm happy to say that I can attend the Otakon coming up in August 19-21. *big yay* I was thinking that I might not be going since there was a wedding the same month...but I found out it was another day. (What to do...anime con or wedding...steak or pocky...I can have both! ^-^;) Anywayz, I'll be setting my reservations up as soon as I can think straight about my finances >.< and I'm looking into new costume ideas as well as prop improvement on my current Kikyo outfit. ^-^
Some more fandomy news is that my gundam english manga collection is almost complete: just missing Gundam G-unit vol. 3. And I'm quite proud to say that I got almost all of my books at half the usual price. Lots of searching and waiting...like now with my last book. ^-^ I told my dad to buy me RG Veda manga (in chinese) and the Al plushie I wanted so much. Even sent him various pics so that he knows exactly what he needs to buy. If he messes up...I don't know what to say.... >.<; I'm also thinking about asking him to buy me Mokona.... What do you think? ^.^ My fav. kind of plushies...so cute....

Mood: Hungry
After inquiring for opinions on my site, I received some very constructive advice from some computer techies. I figured out that though the layout of my site is quite basic and creative in small ways, the small ways tend to make the site not so user friendly. ^^; Stuff like 'links are usually conceived by underlines as well as the mouse turns into a hand icon' and 'what is clickable or not' are really important to know when you're making a site. Hee, hee.... I made some small changes in hopes to make the links easier to distinguish...though I still kept the same colors...which still makes it harder...but I don't mind. ^.^ I hope you guys can get into the pictures site. If you have any problems or have comments or flames, you can use the slightly invisible comment box at the bottom (hope you can see it ^^;) or just drop me an e-mail. ^-^ Catch you later!

I heard something interesting: astronauts have problem writing in zero gravity since the ink would not flow onto the paper. For this reason, the U.S. developed a special kind of pen (really expensive) so that the astronauts can write in space. Russia had a better idea: they use pencils. ^^; I think this is one of the reasons why our taxes are so high....
The images on the site should be working. If there are any broken links, please let me know. Later on, I'll be adding other stuff for downloads.... ^-^

Mood: Tired
Finally, I'm finished with the layout for the convention pics. It will be a separate page altogether from my blog site. I'll let you know when it'll be up...not that it's thrilling or anything. ^-^; Went to the Christian crusade yesterday. Was feeling too under the weather to go today. I didn't even feel like leaving the house. The church bbq was today and I was pretty much out of it the whole time. Dunno...this is not too good, but perhaps it's just the heat and me forgetting my meds this morning.... I'm okay now...I think. Going to rest now that I pretty much have my site in order. Just need to upload the pics and we're all set. Updates will be up by monday.
Saturday/Sunday 2:30am Mood: Sleepy -.-Zzz
Page is up. Will tell you special individuals how to find it. ^.^ Oyasumi, minna! I'll probably sleep on the piano in the morning....

06/22/05 ~ Wednesday 05:30 pm
Mood: Too busy to think >.<
Pics aren't up yet...I know. Give me time. Also, there are alot of pics that are blurry that I actually found replacements for (since other people have better picture taking skills then I do. ^.^) Just a note, my dad gave me his digicam...which is good 'cause I chose it for him. ^-^: But the weekend of my convention was the first time I was using it. So...almost all of my pictures came out blurry. Give me a break, ne? I had others jumping on my back for this kind of crap. It's not like it's so important to see my crappy pics anyway. :P Venting for awhile....
No worries, I'll e-mail you guys once I have my pics up...somewhere. ^-^

06/16/05 ~ Thursday 12:00 pm
Mood: Sleepy -_-Zzz
It's done! To what lengths was taken in order finish such a project? Let's just say no sleep and a lot of sewing. >.<;
Process: 100% <- O.O
Length of time: about 30 hrs.
Cost: $40
Cosplay attire: White hair ribbon (wired,) red neck tie, white kimono top with red trim, red hakama pants, white/straw sandals, white socks, bow, quiver and 3 arrows
My mom and I sat up and sewed from close to 9pm (last night) to close to 5am (in the morning.) I was late to work and am still sleepy...but it's done! And I'm so happy at the results. Since alot of the cosplay sites have 'favorites and don't like' parts of the process, I'll do it too. ^.^
Hardest part: The last 10 hrs.. No sleep and both my mom and I were cranky. Though the stuff came out beautifully, I know to plan better next time.
Easiest part: Buying sandals and socks. Everything else was just a bit difficult to buy and of course make. ^-^;
Most favorite part: When it actually got finished. The results were amazing. And...my most favorite part of the outfit itself would be the sleeves and the openings right off the shoulder. It was beautifully orchestrated by my mother...whom I didn't thank enough, but appreciate nonetheless. (And you know I don't say this lightly.)
Now I'm at work, James (from CCGC) will bring my props and bag to YPF tonight and I'm going to iron my outfit out and sleep like a log. I'll be putting my cosplay report up most likely next week. Of course, you'll probably hear from me prior to that.
Now that it's said, let's get back to work! *yawn* ^O^

Mood: Hungry >.<;
Anime Next is in ONE day and 8 hrs. It's almost here! *fangirl-type scream* ^.^ Stuff still not done, but it's coming together beautifully.
Process: 62%
Time elapsed: 22 hrs. and counting
Cost: $42
Still need: wide wired ribbon for hair tie, shikon jewel (if I have time)
My mother bought me long tube thingees that would make great arrows. I found sticks used for US flags that had nice tips (for the pointy side. ^.^) Gonna compare them both and see what works better. Also, my digicam (my digicam ^__^) is all set: memory clean, settings set and new batteries prepared. I don't think I'm as trigger happy as I used to be...so long ago it seems.... <.< *grimace* Anyway, both the sleeves and pants need to be put together and the quiver needs to be adjusted to accomadate more stuff. ^.^
Have to get back to work...so busy. ^.^;

06/14/05 ~ Tuesday 11:00 am
Mood: Estatic
Anime Next is in TWO days and 14 hrs. I looked at the schedule and almost screamed (on the train...which was good I didn't scream.) So many events...gotta start marking down the events that I'm going to. What to do? 'Crazy Otaku' and 'Life in Japan' is at the same time.... >.< I'm leaning towards 'Crazy Otaku'. I'm also starting to make my list of what to buy (for me and friends. ^.^) If you want me to buy something, tell me now so I know how much money to bring. Cosplay process below....
Process: 60%
Time elapsed: 20 hrs. and counting
Cost: $37
Still need: wide wired ribbon for hair tie, arrow props
The warnings for weapons is that "No real weapons allowed". So my bow and wooden arrows should be fine. No metal tips thoughs. ^.^ I need feathers for arrows! I want to look authentic if I can.... Off to the beach...when I have time. The quiver is almost satisfactory. At least I figured out how it can hold a shape. I took out my digicam and will bring it to the con. Got so much to do! Must finish work so I can have spare time to finish planning for friday. ^.^

06/13/05 ~ Monday 2:00 pm
Mood: Hungry
We have PROGRESS! Advancement is the heart of all hopes. ^.^
Process: 55%
Time elapsed: 18 hrs. and counting
Cost: $37
Still need: wide wired ribbon for hair tie, arrow props
The bow is completely done. The quiver needs a skeleton (to hold the shape, <.<) and the kimono top now has a collar. ^.^ The Anime Next Convention is practically THREE days away. *stares at the digital calender* O.O I have one single evening to finish prior to the convention (wed. night.) Can I do it? YES I CAN! (Oh yeah, the convention (tentative) schedule is up but I have no time to look at it yet.... >.<)

06/12/05 ~ Sunday 4:30 pm
Mood: Distracted
Lessee...I have almost finished buying stuff for my cosplay outfit. The outfit itself...currently unfinished. (I've been busy lately. >.>) But basically, the outfit is in pieces and I'm making new sleeves (the other sleeves I'm going to save for when I cosplay as Rei or someone else. ^.^) I have the materials to complete the bow and a quiver (for arrows.) The quiver itself will have a secret compartment to hold my necessities, like money, camera, cell...shikon jewel (maybe. ^-^) The arrows still need to be bought and made, but I have a pretty good idea about what I'm going to do. (Hm...where can I find some pointy metals.... ^.^)
Process: 35% <-not much, but improvement ^.^
Time elapsed: 14 hrs. and counting
Cost: $37
Still need: wide wired ribbon for hair tie, arrow props
As you can see, I have almost everything I need and just need to put everything together. ^-^ After I get off line, I'm going to make my bow. It'll be one of the more creative things I'm making since I can't exactly make a bow out of wood. ~_^ Can't wait to show you guys the results.
I'm sooo happy. Pearly (my ultimate anime supplier) was able to get me complete scanlations for 'RG Veda.' (The scans themselves are not with me yet, but hey, if she knows where to get them, it's almost as if it's in my computer already. ^.^) She is also getting me 'Yami no Matsuei', 'X/1999' (both anime AND manga,) Spiral and Gravitation. *sigh* Isn't she the best? I'm rooting for her to get cable, DSL or anything high speed because she has been downloading stuff for over 15 years (ever since she went online) on dial-up!!! O.O I have dial-up but I use T1 at work. She truly is amazing. Domo arigato, Pearl-chan! ^_______^

Mood: Calm (and happily cool)
I am here by the ocean, listening to the sounds of waves and the breeze blowing through the windows. ^.^ For the time being, I'm sedated with the calmness of my surroundings. I'll probably return to my high-temper persona tomorrow.... Until then, I'll relax with the t.v. (yay! T.V. and internet ^-^) and take doggie naps. -.- Zzz

06/09/05 ~ Thursday 2:30 pm
Mood: Pissed off >.<
I have good news and bad news. Good news is that the adapter and bluetooth headset works fine with any phone appliance...except my mom's cell. >.< However, she uses the phone at the house alot, so she can use it as she runs around the apartment. ^.^ Very good news is that I contacted the writing program at Stony and asked them if I could buy the "Program and Writing Rhetoric 2001" handbook and they called me back and said that since I was the writer of one of the essays, they're going to mail it to me for free. ^-^ Yay!
My bad news is bad. I got stopped by the transit police today and got a violation. >.< Please note that it was about 8:50 in the morning and I just woke up from the train. I took out my metrocard and ran it through the entrance thingee...it said insufficient fare. My unlimited monthly reached the limit, but I have my new one ready. I thought the machine that was near the handicap door was the one to check the amount on the card. I wanted to confirm that the card I had in hand was the unlimited (cause I can't remember if I opened it or not. So I slipped the card into a machine that was near the handicap door thinking it was the one to check the amount of the card. (I didn't realize that it was different machine.) When I slipped it in, it said "Please use the turnstyle." It was early in the morning so I wasn't completely awake yet. The first thought I had was that this was the machine to pay for the handicap door and since I had paid for the door, it's telling me to go through. It didn't register in my mind that I didn't pay for anything. Since I thought I had paid, I was worried that I won't be able to use the other entrances since you can't use an unlimited card at the same station for at least 20 min. I didn't want to be late for work and since I thought I paid already, I went through the door and was stopped by an officer. (The door was closed at that time and I would assume "locked" so when I was able to pull it open, naturally I thought it was because I paid for the entrance.>.<) I realized my error but my brain still wasn't able to completely function at that time. I would have apologized profusively and gladly went through the "turnstyle" and paid my fare. Unfortunately, I wasn't coherent in my explanation and couldn't make my thoughts clear enought to remedy the situation. >.<
I went to the Transit Bureau office in Brooklyn to request for a fair hearing. Before I entered the subway, I checked the card I used in the morning and found out that it was the empty one that I bought (you know, put in cash and get card.) I thought 'opst, I really didn't pay for it this morning.' But that was why I wanted to make sure I pulled out the right card (I knew I had a cash one in there.) I didn't mean to "not pay." I went to the hearing and told them my alibi. I showed them my new unlimited metrocard that I had with me all along, but I didn't have my empty one cause I was pissed at it and threw it away. I explained that I get my unlimited card from my workplace, so I always had it with me to use when my old one is finished. They said that they'll contact me within 2 weeks. >.<
First off, if I lost the hearing, I'm going to appeal. The $60 fine cost almost as much as a new card. I was thinking this morning that "Heck, this is one expensive ride." I was also thinking about contacting the transit detective that I knew and ask for help...but hell, I know that it isn't appropriate and what would I say? "Um...can you help me waive the fine for going through a handicap door without paying?" :P Second point, I want to make it clear that I seriously thought that freakin machine next to the freakin door was a 'metrocard-amount-checker'. Its silver, metal and it's the same size. Heck, it even has empty cards on it, one of which is my unlimited card that ended today. What pisses me off is that do I look like I would do this on purpuse? 'Yeah right, I like skipping out on paying $2 when I ride the subway even when I have an UNLIMITED ONE IN MY BAG!!!" Yes I know, I should've pulled it out, but I told the officer I had one and I thought the one in hand WAS the right one. If we checked it out right then and there, I would have seen that it was empty and searched through my bag some more, found my unlimited card, apologized, laughed about it and went on my merry way. Baka officer! Waste your undercover time on someone else! I work with you people almost everyday! Can you have at least some sensitivity to distinguish which battles you want to start and with whom? I'm seriously pissed off. I'm going to argue this from any angle that I can, even the statement that "Hey, I don't look like a criminal, okay?" I got a copy of a paper from the fiscal office (at my work) that has my signature on it with the dates all prior to today. Basically, I signed the paper when I pick up my metrocard and transit checks. I got it like last week. The fiscal office manager can vouch for my innocence. I had my card with me the whole time!!! *sigh* The world is full of idiots and I'm one of them. But this idiot is not going to take this sitting down!
Oh yeah, thanks for reading this far.

06/08/05 ~ Wednesday 10:00 am
Mood: Anxious (too much to do....)
After contemplating on this matter, I conceded: I will not buy the movies. *throws list in the can* Afterall, I prefer saving money to buy the Gundam and Yu Yu Hakusho collection which will cost over $100. <.< Don't want to think too much about money matters, it gives me a headache. >.<; Hee, hee.... This morning, I saw two canadian geese with three goslings in a row crossing the street. The scene was too cute that I exclaimed in delight. The young geese were still noticably smaller then their parents with a soft down of brownish feathers. What was so adorable was that they were in a row with the two parents at the end of the line making sure they get across the street safely. (Of course, my mother stopped the car to let them by. ^.^) I watched them disappear up the hill, still in a line. *sigh* ^-^
One essay that I wrote was published in a small writing book at Stony. I think I lost my copy and would like to buy another one. It's been two years and although I finally contacted two sellers and arranged many meetings, there were cancellations and misunderstandings and now I still don't have my book. I have a proposition: I will pay $20 to the person who can get me a copy. I will pay the cost of the book as well (which retail price is about $12.) The book's title is "Program in Writing and Rhetoric 2001". It has a purple cover with the title in white. It must be the 2001 version (because that is the time my essay was published.) I will pay (in cash) $20 + whatever it cost you to get the book (book cost, any fees, travel fares.) You can tell I really want the book. <.< You know me (if you're on my site, you must know me.) So contact me or just comment in the message box below....
Thanks in advance! ^-^

Mood: Wishy washy
I bought a folding knife yesterday. It also has a nail file and little scissors that cuts pretty well. The knife is pretty sharp too. ^.^ It hides in the plam of my hand (really, really small) and I can take it out and cut stuff...um...like fruits. ^^; I got it for $.88 at Walmart. O.O Isn't that awesome? I wish I can find more deals like that....
I must say, I have done pretty well in budgeting between my fav. fandoms and my savings. *pats self on back* ^-^ But...my wishlist is getting longer. Now, if it's not on my wishlist yet, that means I haven't decided to definitely buy it. Once it's on my list, it's hard to change my mind. (Stubborn me. ^.^) I'm considering adding to my "non-anime" collection which is now Troy (Achilles who can actually rival my Kurama, ^-^) my 3 HK films and of course, my two veggietales movies (I love to talk to tomatoes! <-inside joke. <.<) My tentative list has been made and I don't know if I should really indulge and let myself buy so much. >.< $$$$$$ <-need this in order to buy that.

The Litte Mermaid Special Edition (not available=wait for re-release)
Fantasia Anthology (not available=gotta bid or Costco?)

The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
My Neighbor Totoro (not available=waiting for release)
Other
Lord of the Rings - Extended Trilogy <=$$$ very costly
Codename Kids Next Door - Sooper Hugest Mission ^__^
Sometimes (only sometimes) I envy my friends like Pearl-chan, P-chan and my cousin who have extensive collections of DVDs. Looking at their stuff, I kinda wish I had my own personalized collection. *pulls out graphing calculator* Yup, I can't afford it. >.< *lifts mouse to delete list* Nah, I'll let this sit for awhile while I brood over it and wish wistfully. ^^;
Oh yeah, when I was on the subway this morning, someone was watching "Hero" on her PSP. O.O *watches and laughs* It's too funny. Critics said that it was suppose to rival Crouching Tiger but in terms of fighting, it turned out to be funnier (more flying in mid-air.) However, it is great in visual beauty. I actually saw the ending to the movie at someone's house. I don't mind watching the entire thing. Movie night anyone? Got bootleg? ^.^
(Did I also tell you that I'm wishing for a PSP? Now I know why P-chan wants to win the lottery.... ^.^)
4:15 pm - Mood: Tired
My most favorite mangakas Togashi Yoshihiro and Takeuchi Naoko drew 3 mangas/doujinshis together. ^.^ This was back in 1999, after their marriage. *sighs happily* I finally found the title for their works. Under the name "Prince Yoshihiro and Princess Naoko" *grins* they drew "Togashi Kingdom Love Love Notebook," "Togashi Kingdom Sailormoon Notebook" and "Togashi Kingdom." *screams* I soooo want these doujinshi, but I can't find them. (Why? Mainly because of the language barrier since I can't search for djs on Japanese sites. >.<) Got any ideas? It took me this long to locate the titles...how long will it take me to find them and save up the money to buy them? *pout* <.< I wish I can read Japanese....

Mood: Distracted
Still no YYH.... >.< But have no time anyway. Just some notes: I watched the entirety of 'The Fellowship of the Ring' extended version AND the Appendices (extras) which both totaled over 11 hours. ^.^ It was so much fun, I'm going to watch 'The Two Towers' next...it's actually one of my fav. parts of the story. So much fighting and Gandalf retuns. Yay! ^-^ I'm done hemming my outfit, I think...but my sleeves are still not what I want. I'm going to convince my mom to buy more fabric, because I want perfect sleeves, no matter what. '_' So much needs to be done...and I'm outta here! ^-^

06/02/05 ~ Thursday 10:00 am
Mood: Sleepy
I went to Home Depot yesterday to find something to make my bow. I actually found several different "long pliable sticks" that I could use. The first one I found was the plastic corner thingies that are used to...cover corners...I think. It was super long and could bend and be really flexible. It would work once I covered it with wood-like stickie paper. But then I found the metal pieces used for covering the edges of carpet. (You know, to hold the carpet down.) I bought that instead since it was bendable and it could hold a better 'long' shape like Kikyo's bow. ^.^ Prior to my discoveries, I asked many employees for a "long pliable stick" and I noted that it didn't matter if it was plastic, metal, wood or whatever. I also said that it didn't really need to be a stick, but just a long "something." All they came up with was bamboo which was too hard to bend (and would crack if I bent it) and lumber wood which can't bend at all. I'm not complaining about Home Depot workers, but I think they should have more of an imagination. ^.^
Cost: $20
Still need: red ribbon for neck tie and sleeve trim, wide white wired ribbon for hair tie, stickie wood paper and white strip for the 'bow', arrows props and geta-like sandals
Progress on YYH download: 0% <.< This is going to take a long time...even on a T1 connection.... >.<

Mood: Busy
I can't download YYH! >.> *sulks* Oh well, I need to get other stuff done first.... Last night at 2am in the morning ^.^ I bid and won the 'Alien Nine Ultimate Collection'!!! ($25.01) This afternoon, I bought Alien Nine Emulators for $5!
Alien Nine Collection: $30.01
Not bad for one OVA and 4 mangs. ^.^ But still...need to save. *happy sigh* ^-^; <= happy since I've been waiting for this set for so long.... Hey, I've been blessed with alot of material things. Now, if only I can get rid of my longing to destroy the world, I might just be happier. ^^;
