Mood: Jumpy
New chapters of YYH are out on directmanga! Yay! *jumps up from seat* I haven't been able to download them yet 'cause of traffic (since everyone who has been waiting for it since forever are clicking like crazy ^.^) but I hope to after lunch. Yummy...lunch....
Below for Kikyo outfit stats:
Process: 33%
Time elapsed: 10 hrs. and counting
Cost: $13
Still need: red ribbon for neck tie and sleeve trim, wide wired ribbon for hair tie, bow and arrow props
The hakama is almost done. The pleats weren't that hard, but need to be adjusted and ironed in place. I'm going to be sewing in an elastic band (since I don't want my pants to be falling off) and the side openings need to be hemmed. The kimono top is cut out, but still in pieces. I just convinced my mom this morning that the sleeves need to be longer all around. (She wanted to go for the 'save-the-fabric' route, but I said 'use as much as we can.' ^-^ Gotta be true to Kikyo!) Once the sleeves are completed, I will start to put the kimono together. The edges still need to be gone over with polish. (My hand got all sticky from it yesterday...used alot of exfoliating soap to rub it off. ^.^)
I'm so excited about this, but I'm still clueless about what to do about the bow. >.< ? What to do.... If you got tips, throw them my way. ^.^
12:30 pm - Mood: Shocked
Sazan Eyes also has an update! *faints* I can't believe it. *stares at computer* It's true! *jumps up, screams, everyone in office stares, sits down and quietly cheers* ^.^ Okay, okay, too excited...but still. This is like the only group that are scanlating the ENTIRE 3x3 series. So happy.... *clicks with mouse* Download done! Now if only I can download YYH....

Mood: Busy
The fabric and materials have been bought and the measurements and cutting have commenced!
Process: 5%
Time elapsed: 3 hrs. and counting
Cost: $13
Still need: red ribbon for neck tie and sleeve trim, wide wired ribbon for hair tie, bow and arrow props
Hee, hee...so far, the fabric has been separated into parts for pants (2 pieces,) belt (1 piece,) body (1 piece) and sleeves (still 1 piece.) A lot of time has been placed into going over the cut edges with clear nail polish. Once it dries, the thread won't keep on unraveling. (Tip from o-kaa-san. ^.^)
I skipped out on two major activities today. One group of my CCF/CCGC friends went to Aquarium and Tanger while the other group went to beach at Montauk. Me? I'm staying home and resting and sewing up my outfit. ^.^ I actually want to hang out at home. *yawn* Sleepy too. Definitely, if they come home early and want to go out to dinner/fun, I'll be throwing in my lot with them. Just enjoying my lone time right now.... ^-^

Mood: Excited
Cosplay time!
I'm going to make the Kikyo outfit! A white kimono top and red hakama pants! ^.^ Yesterday, my mom and I figured out how the fabric will fit togeter and how much of it we will need. (Alot of measuring and cutting newspaper for trial and error. ^^;) Today, we'll buy the fabric and start making it. *bounces off the walls* Can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait!!! I hope it looks alright.... Ne, does anyone know how I can make/buy a bow and (at least) one arrow like the one Kikyo has? *.* Need props you know!
So much I want to buy.... I went on eBay and found that they were selling the Fullmetal pocketwatch that I wanted so much. It is exactlylike the one from the series, except the back has a special lacy kind of design. Not exactly bad, but the back of the actual watch (from the series) has a plain back. >.< Though it's still a lot closer to the original then the one I first bought. But I'm still not going to buy it...yet. I'm going to hold off until I find the perfect replica no matter how long it takes. ^.^ Lookie! I soooo want the Alphonse plushie! (Alphonse it the one on the left, the other is Edward.) He is soooo cute. And the yellow thing he is holding is a kitty. ^.^ *glomps on top of Al* Too cute! But.... >.< It's like $30 for two, which is not bad, but as you know, I gotta save. *lets Al go* I'll buy you later! *sniffs*
Also, check this out...an Utena ring for over $150! O.O I guess diehard Utena fans will have to buy this one, if this is the only one out there...um...good thing I'm not a diehard fan...I think. ^^;

Mood: Famished >.<
For Anime Next, I'm kinda wishing I can buy shinto miko robes (red hakama pants and white haori top) so that I can cosplay as Kikyo (from Inuyasha.) ^^: Dude, its expensive! It's less than $100, but still...I dunno. I found this one on eBay. (Click for bigger pics.)
 Kimono Kikyo
Isn't it beautiful? *sigh* I got the hair for it too. ^.^ I'm thinking about it, but I bought too much stuff lately. Mostly food.... >.<
MUST SAVE!!! WANNA BUY COSPLAY OUTFIT! ^.^; Hee, hee...sorry 'bout that, just got to get that out of my system. Maybe I can steal one....

Mood: Sore and in slight pain >.<'
I tripped yesterday and scrapped my knee. No biggie right? I do this on a regular basis since I learned how to walk, run and fall. (Got the scars to prove it. ^.^) Anyway, I go home and stared at it with my mom. My first reaction was, "Oh look, a white in the middle." I thought it was pus.... I go take a shower and wash off the blood from my still bleeding wound. (Hee, hee...gruesome, ne? ^.^) I poked at the white stuff and found that it was hard. 0.0 Turns out, that a small pebble was lodged into my knee. O.O When I tried taking out the pebble, I realized how deep it was since I couldn't just pull out the pebble. Digging at it for a few good minutes, I realized it was VERY deep. %.% Good thing my knee was still numb from the pain. When I finally got it out, it was a pretty pointy pebble. Now, I have something to remember that incident: the first time I fell and a pebble was stuck in my knee. ^.^ Ah, memories....

Mood: Amused
Went with a client to change her child's last name to her own. We went to civil court and petitioned for the change. It costs $65 and will take a month. Then you need to make an announcement in a newspaper. So, it'll cost about $100 for the name change. O.O (I guess the one day name change will not really work, P-chan. But you can change it and be Anna-Banana-Franchesca...etc..for a month instead. ^.^)

Basically, our b-day crew expanded to Pearly, P-chan, Alby, Jenn-chan and me. We started with eating Carvel ice cream cakes and fell to green tea cakes. What are we doing this year? I have no idea. But whatever it is, we’re sure to get lots of laughs from it. ^.^

Mood: Distracted
I wore my kimono to church today. ^.^ I made a statement, dunno if it is good or bad...but a statement nonetheless. ^-^ The room is filled with the smell of popcorn...and I'm waiting to have fun. Anyone up for games?

Mood: Accomplished
I did 3 things today. *grins* Doesn't sound like alot but it is: prepared the CVB report, wrote an affidavit and wrote a client's employment letter. I'm pooped, but happy since I don't have to think about this over the weekend. Yay! ^___^
My mother bought me a gold obi yesterday to go with my new kimono. I also have a koshi-hime and a date-jime (the smaller two belts that goes under the obi. ^.^) O-kaa-san said that she'll buy something to make an eri sugata (collar.) *sigh* All I need to complete my outfit would be tabi socks and those wooden sandals...though not practical for playing piano on Sunday. ^-^

Mood: Amused
This is too funny. Garnier UK introduced a new product that will give Japanime fans a chance to have hair like Hiei. Manga Head Hair Gel!!! (clickie) ^.^ (Now we know what Trowa, Yugi and the rest uses to style their hair. ^.^)
I happily apologize to anyone I said to that "That's not sakura." or "It's too late for sakuras to come out...." I recently confirmed that sakura blossoms bloom at a later time (because of the weather) in New York then the official "Sakura season" in Japan and D.C.. I'm happy to admit I'm wrong since I found out that Long Island is filled with Sakura trees. ^.^ It's so beautiful: the ground covered in light pink petals and when the wind blows softly, the flowers fly from the trees.... The scent of the petals is so light and wonderful.... My doctor's wife gave me a pink pail and I filled it with petals that drifted onto the ground. It's so delicate! I picked up a flower very carefully and it falls apart in my hand. *contented sigh* The sakura season in NY is almost over, but I still see alot of trees in bloom. I owe you guys...how about ice cream? Cold stone? ^.^ And of course, I officially declare that my favorite flower is sakura. ^-^
Oh yeah, my kimono arrived! It's beautiful: dark blue with flowers on the back and some of the front. (I'm thinking about wearing it to church on sunday. Gotta go find me an obi and eri sugata (wide belt and white collar. ^.^)

Mood: Hungry
Look at my site now! *beams* I'm quite happy overall, though the chatterbox is still not the way I meant it to be. *tweaks with the coding* Nope, still not there yet. But anywayz. I gotta stay late at work today. >.< But I'll have my instant noodles to keep me company. ^^; I can't eat it now, 'cause I have to figure out how to write this affidavit for this client for the attorney...among other things. I just love my work. ^-^
I stopped by a bookstore today and ordered a copy of 'Ella Enchanted.' Last time I ordered it, they gave the book signed by the author. O.O I don't think they knew, or else they wouldn't have sold it to me for $3.50. ^.^ But still, I would like to keep that copy in mint condition...so I need to buy another one. (I actually hope this time, it won't have any autographs on it...so I can actually carry it around and bend the pages...etc.... ^^;)
Nothing much to say except that I'm sleepy. I think I'll take a nap before I continue working.... ^-^ Maybe....

5/17/05 ~ Tuesday 4:00 pm
Mood: Estatic
Yay! I finally got my layout (or most of it.) ^.^ HTML coding is hard...but the internet was a big help of course. Don't know what to do about the disclaimers, but my layout is lousy, so I doubt anyone would want to steal it. I'll be putting up some more limericks soon. There's some crude humor so you're forewarned. ^.^ As some people have been asking, "How have you been?" I'll say, pretty good. I've given everybody the same reply: "I'm doing well. My job is good, low stress and I'm working very well with my clients...etc...." You probably heard it all already. But if you must read between the lines, I'll say that I'm not getting angry as much as I used to. That's probably because I discovered that anger takes ALOT of energy out of me. Also, I have other distractions...fellowship and friends (but I won't go into the spiritual aspect of my life right now.)
Hey, people are saying that I'm getting better or (worse) that I'm completely well. That's a load of bull. I hate it when I hear stuff like that. How do you know that I'm "back." How can you possibly tell what being "back" really means? I'll state it for the record that the person you used to know, doesn't exisit anymore. Most of you at one time or another told me that life is maturing and you lose a bit of your past with each step (something like that anyway.) Well, I'll tell you, I'll never be "back" and I'll never be "better" in the way you thought I used to be. This is me. And honestly, I don't care what you think of me. ^-^
Rebellion is not the right word...outward defiance of all the confines of society is more like it.
Events: There are three events coming up, one I'm not going to reveal. ^-^ More important matters...Anime Next is coming on June 17 to 19!!! (I'll be making it to at least the 17th and/or 18th.) The director of Inuyasha, and the American voiceovers for Fullmetal Alchemist are going to be there! *screams* I can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait! On July 16, I'm going to go to sixflags with my friends from school/CCGC. I think I can handle Roller coasters that go in a circle...I hope. Hey, if I can handle the ones in Dorney Park, this should be a piece of cake...right? *starts praying*
